Step 1 Lead in 1.T continues to talk about the topic of protecting the environment . Ask : What’s the meaning of “green”? What about “go green” ? How can we go green ? Ask them to say something about how to protect the environment .Encourage the students to have a brainstorm. Write “ save water, save power, reduce pollution” on the blackboard. 2.Ask : What can we do to save water ? 3.Ask : What can we do to save power? Ask them to discuss. Step2 Pre-writing 1.Say : The Class1, Grade 8 students are going to give a presentation on how to go green .Let’s read Millie’s notes . 1.Ask : (1) What can we do to save water ? (2)What can we do to save power? (3)What can we do to reduce pollution ? (4)What else can we do to live a green life ? 2. Encourage all the boys and girlsto read it loudly . 3. Ask Ss to finish PartB Step3: Analyze the article T:What makes a good article? ( a clear structure, rich contents, nice language) Ask Ss to find out the structure. Para.1 Introduction Para.2-4 Main body Para.3 Conclusion Step4:While-writing T:We’ve read Millie’s script. Now it’s your turn to give a presentation on how to go green. Discuss this in groups of four and write down your notes. Give the Ss some useful expressions. T:We can borrow some useful expressions from the model and use them directly in our writings. Step5: Post-writing Ask Ss to be a teacher and correct one of the articles and give the points.Score standard.评分标准 Step6:Homework Read your writing again and improve it. Make a poster to ask more people to join us.
