A research team frm China’s Nrthwest University is develping facial recgnitin（面部识别）technlgy t identify（识别）thusands f Sichuan glden mnkeys that live in Qinling Muntains in Shaanxi Prvince.
Similar t human facial recgnitin, the technlgy that is used t identify mnkeys uses their facial features t create a database（数据库）that includes every mnkey.
“When the system is fully develped, we can cnnect it with cameras set up in the muntains. The system will autmatically（自动地）recgnize the mnkeys, name them and analyze（分析） their behavir,” said Zhang He, a member f the research team.
“Fr each mnkey, we have 700 t 800 image samples, and the rate f successful recgnitin is 94 percent,” Zhang added.
