    Creating a stry abut aliens
    教学目标
    By the end f this sectin, students will be able t:
    1. emply scene descriptin, actin and expressin descriptin in writing a stry;
    2. learn t add twists t push frward the plt in a stry;
    3. create a lgical and vivid stry based n the cmic strip.

    1. T effectively integrate all the writing techniques in writing a stry;
    2. T enhance ne’s abilities f self-review and peer review.

    Revisin
    Step 1 :The teacher has students answer the fllwing questins t review and analyse infrmatin in Parts A, B and C in pairs.
    1. What are the aliens in Part A like?
    2. What is the alien in the cmic strip in Part B like?
    3. Can yu summarize the develpment f the plt in each picture?
    4. What did we predict in the fllwing part?
    引导学生分析并整合第一课时中的故事背景信息和情节信息,为漫画故事写作训练做好铺垫。

    Writing
    Step 2 :The teacher has students discuss what kind f descriptin makes a stry vivid and give sme examples f different kinds f descriptins.
    1. Scene descriptin
    e.g. Walking ut f the spaceship, Paul nticed that this was an unusual planet. He culd see strange buildings, trees and animals.
    2. Actin and expressin descriptin
    (1) The mnster pened its large muth and was abut t attack Paul when Alf came and grabbed the mnster by the neck.
    (2) Embarrassed, Fluffy lked at Paul, smiled and embraced Paul.

    Step 3:The teacher has students wrk in grups t answer the fllwing questins.
    1. What is the cnflict f the stry?
    2. What is the climax f the stry?
    3. Hw t push frward the climax?
    引导学生分析故事的冲突、高潮,总结出如何通过增加故事曲折性来推动故事的高潮,使故事引人入胜。5’ Grup Wrk
    Step 4 :The teacher has students write individually and ffers help when necessary.
    承接第一课时对故事情节的讨论内容,逐步引导学生运用各种描写、增加故事曲折推动高潮等写作手法,进行课内独立限时写作。15’ Individual Wrk
    Step 5:1. The teacher has students review their drafts themselves by answering the fllwing questins.

    2. The teacher has students review their drafts in pairs by answering the fllwing questins.
