“What d/des+主语+lk like?”是用来询问某人长什么样子的句型。
lk like的意思是“看起来像……”,其中like为介词,意为“像;如同”。

【辨析】lk like与be like
lk like
常指人的外貌怎么样
例:He lks like his mther.
他看起来像他妈妈。
be like
常指人的性格、品质怎么样

你父亲是个怎样的人?

此句为选择疑问句,提出两种或两种以上的情况并对它做出判断或选择。句型结构为:一般疑问句 + r + 另一备选对象。选择疑问句不能用 yes 或 n 来回答,只能根据实际情况作答。
选择疑问句中,r 前面的部分读升调,后面的部分读降调。

(1)may be 意为“可能(是);也许(是)”。may be中may是情态动词,be是动词原形,两者一起构成谓语动词。

(2)a little 意为“一点;少量”,修饰形容词/副词或不可数名词。
例:There is a little water in that glass. 那个杯子里有一点水。
【易混辨析】may be与 maybe
may be
may是情态动词, be是动词原形,两者构成完整的谓语形式,意为“也许是;可能是”。
maybe
是副词,意为“也许;可能”,在句中作状语,常位于句首。
I can’t find my bk in the schlbag. It may be in my drawer.
我在书包里没有找到我的书,它可能在我的抽屉里。
Maybe she is sleeping in the rm. 她可能在房间里睡觉。
【辨析】a little与little
a little
后面跟不可数名词,表示肯定意义,意为“一点”。
例:Can yu give me a little milk?
你能给我一点儿牛奶吗?
little
后面跟不可数名词,表示否定的意义,意为“几乎没有”。
例:I have little mney.
我没有什么钱。
