T:Boys and girls, we learned some new words about the body parts yesterday, now let’s review together, look and say.

T:Great,and we also learned how to ask and answer about health problems, right? Ok, we can say: “what’s the matter(with) ” “ what’s wrong?” “ what happened to ?” “ Is there anything wrong with?” “ Are/Is ...OK?..... to ask.
T:Yes, and we can say : I have a cold/fever/cough/headache/toothache/stomachache/, or I have a sore throat/ back to answer.

Now let’s open your books and turn to page 2 and look at pictures in 2a.
2. Presentation
(1)Work on activity 2a.
Before Listening: Discuss what is happening in the picture.
T: Look, what’s the matter with her?
Ss: she has a sore throat.
T: Good, what’s wrong with him?
SS: He has a toothache.
T: Ok, picture 3, what’s his trouble?
Ss: He has a stomachache.
T: Wonderful,you’re right, now, is there anything wrong with this girl?
SS: Yes, she has a fever.
T: Now, the last picture, what happed to her?
Ss: She cut herself.
教学目的说明:教师按顺序手指图片,引发学生思考并回答,降低学生听力难度,学生的回答同时也是一种语言输出)
T:OK, now let’s listen and number.
Have students listen and number the pictures [1-5] in the order they hear them.
Check the answers after listening.
(2)Work on activity 2b
Have Ss listen and match the problems with advice in 2b. Have Ss listen twice and check the answers after listening.
T: Ok, now Let’s check the answers. Please look at the picture one, this girl has a sore throat, so she should...,
Ss: She should drink some hot tea with honey.
T: Super, let’s continue, now picture 2,this boy has a toothache, what should he do?
Ss: He should see a dentist and get an X-ray.
T: Excellent!...,

(3) Work on activity 2c:
Pairwork. Let students read the conversation in 2c themselves first. Then work in pairs and make a new conversation according to 2a ,2b and pictures in the blackboard.
教学设计说明: 教师利用图片演示病患之间对话,输入you should.../ you shouldn’t...罗列短语,让学生初步感知情态的用法, 也便于学生记笔记.
(4)Work on activity 2d:
First, have students look at the questions and listen to the conversation in 2d.
(1) What’s the matter with Lisa?
(2)Did she have a fever?
(3) What did she do the night before?
(4) what does she need to do?
(5) What should she do for now?
(6) what did she do if things don’t get better?

Then: Check the answers after that.
Next: Let students pay attention to the phrases and sentences underlined on the book.
Finally: let Ss discuss the language points and solve the problems. The teacher walks around and gives them some help if they need.
