    Three decades f war in Cambdia have left scars in many frms thrughut the cuntry.Unfrtunately,ne f the mst lasting legacies f the cnflicts cntinues t claim new victims daily.Landmines,laid by the Khmer Ruge,the Heng Samrin and Hun Sen regimes,the Vietnamese,the KPNLF,and the Sihanukists litter the cuntryside.In mst cases,even the sldiers wh planted the mines did nt recrd where they were placed.Nw,Cambdia has the ne f the highest rates f physical disability f any cuntry in the wrld.At the current rate f prgress,it may take as many as 100 years t clear all the mines in Cambdia,and the UN estimates that with current technlgy,it will take nearly 1100 years t clear all the mines in the wrld.
