Step1 Lead -in
T: What d yu want t be when yu grw up ?
The teacher shws a picture t the Ss, and say : When I was yung , I wanted t be like her (A tur guide) . Because I liked travelling t many places, such as Beijing.
Hw much d yu knw abut Beijing ? (the capital f China ; there are many places f interest , fr example, the Great Wall, Tian’anmen Square, the Summer Palace , the Palace Museum and s n.)
Step 2 Presentatin
1. T: What d yu knw abut the Palace Museum ?
It is in the centre f Beijng.
It is the biggest museum in China.
It has an area f 720,000square meters
2. T: Here, I have a map f it. Frm the map , we can see : There are many palaces in it and tday, we will get t knw five imprtant palaces. They are Taihe Palace , Zhnghe Palace, Bahe Palace, Huangji Palace and Fengxian Palace. ( The teacher shws sme pictures abut them t the students. )
3. Let the students read the pster in A1 and cmplete part f the table in A2.
Step 3 Listening
Listen t the tape and fill in the table in A2.
Listen t the tape again, then finish the exercises in A4.
Step 4 Speak up
T: There is a famus park called Beihai Park in Beijing. It’s a gd place t visit.
Listen t the dialgue and answer the fllwing questins :
What time will they meet ?
What can they d in the park ?
Hw far is the park frm Neil’s htel ?
Step 5 Extensin
Practice the dialgue in pairs and make up a dialgue like that.
Several minutes later, the teacher invites sme pairs t shw their dialgues.
Step 6 Discussin
Discuss in grups f fur : As a turist , what shuldn’t we d ?
Tips fr travelling:
1.Dn't thrw rubbish everywhere.
2.Dn't shut in public(在公共场合).
3.Wait fr yur turn.
4.Be plite.
Step 7 Summary
Enjy a piece f news and share a sentence with the students :
Wherever(无论哪里) we g , we shuld be a civilized (文明的) turist.
Step 8 Hmewrk
1. Read and recite the dialgue.
2. Finish ff the exercises n page P54-56.
