Emotion object:Help the Ss know that animals are our friends and we should protect them .
Teaching material analysis :
This period is an expand reading .The lesson is focused on the topic of “Finding your way . It’s from Unit 4 of 7B oxford English and it’s the third lesson in this unit .The main idea of the topic is to talk about how to get around the Sunshine Zoo .So it’s related to our daily life .It’s very important to improve their reading skills and ability ,so it’s easy to arouse Ss’ learning interesting .
Teaching methods:
According to the New course standard of English , combining with the language level of Ss , I will create real situations 、 take communicative methods and use task-based teaching methods.I will divide Ss into groups of four to develop the Ss’ ability of communication and cooperation by group work actively to improve their oral English and give them enough chances to practise and I will use pair work , group work to lead the Ss to take active part in all kinds of activities . let the Ss be the master of the class teaching ,thus student-centered teaching method is well shown.I will help the Ss to learn to study independly and learn to cooperate with others .Encourage Ss to communicate with others and build up their confidence .At last I will create a perfect assessment system to evaluate the Ss from every aspect in order to arouse their interest .
Leaning methods:
The Ss are grouped into a round way and suit for communicative./into groups to discuss and communicate with others ,through group work ,cultivate the spirir of cooperation and train the ability of solve problems by themselves .In the class , the teacher is just a guide while the Ss are the center , the teacher just join them ,giving suggestions and offering help when they need .
The analysis of Ss :
They are curious , active and fond of various activities .Enjoy learning through cooperation in a relaxed atmosphere.
In this part ,I will create the situation to have the Ss use the language and take the further step to consolidate and extend the knowledge or guide them to prepare for the further reading task.
Teaching important points:
1.To master the key vocabulary and useful expressions of directions.
2.To guess the meanings of the words from the context.
3.To understand the whole passage by evaluating sentences
Teaching difficult points:
1.To infer general meaning from context
2.To skim text for overall meanings and scan for details
