Nikini is a little girl. She lives with her father and mther near the wds (树林). She is very friendly t the animals in the wds. She lves them very much. Her mther’s birthday will cme, and she wants t give her a wnderful present.
In the evening she can’t g t sleep, “My mum lves me very much. She always makes me very happy n my birthdays. She cks and cleans and wrks hard with n rest(休息) fr me. She feeds me and hlds me clse until I am asleep. When I am sick, she cries and takes care f me and desn’t sleep until I get well. I shuld give her the greatest present f all.” she thinks. A firefly (荧火虫) sees Nikini by the windw. It flies t her and says, “Dn’t wrry. We will help yu.” It askes its friends mynah bird (八哥), rabbit and spider (蜘蛛) t cme t help her tgether. The firefly thinks she shuld give her mther the biggest present like the sky. The mynah bird thinks the present shuld be the mst beautiful like flwers. The rabbit thinks the mn is the best. The spider thinks she shuld send her mther a present and it will make her the happiest. Finally they think they’ll make a piece f the mst beautiful clth in the wrld. Then they begin t make the clth tgether at nce.
