1. Play “ABC” sng fr students
T:It’s an “ABC” sng. I think yu’re familiar with it. Nw I want t knw hw well yu can remember these 26 letters.
Please fill in the blanks accrding t the sequence f the letters.

Try t understand yur dictinary
1. Chse the right dictinary.
Learner’s Dictinary r Advanced Learner’s Dictinary?
2.Study yur dictinary.
(1) Please write sme wrds beginning with ”a” and “b”.
(2) Find the wrds in the dictinary and write dwn the page numbers.
3.Discuss:Which wrd cmes first? Which ne cmes next? Why?
4. T:Lk at the wrds n the blackbard. Because ”a” cmes befre “b” in alphabetical rder, all the wrds beginning with ”a” cmes befre the wrds beginning with ”b” in a dictinary.
The wrds in a dictinary are in alphabetical rder, frm A t Z.
It helps us find wrds quickly.

3. Shw a dictinary and explain what the guide wrd is t the students.
