My family and I recently went t Australia, t see my grandparents. But befre we visited them, we
went sightseeing alng the Great Ocean Rad, n the Australian cast.
Dad had planned t drive, but even thugh he was used t driving miles withut getting exhausted,
he then read n the website that the rad wuldn’t be an easy drive. Anyway, we thught he deserved t
enjy the fantastic views t, which he culdn’t d as ur driver. S instead, we bked discunt bus
tickets and ff we went.
Our first stp was where wild kangar lived– and Dad and I were taking a walk
when a big ne appeared! Fr a mment, it seemed t cnsider cming twards us,
which made me a little nervus – but then it went ff alng the rad and int the
bushes.
That wasn’t the nly wildlife we saw. I thught it unlikely we’d see famus Kala bears during ur
shrt visit. In fact, at ur next stp, we saw rughly six millin in that area! Sadly, sme gum trees they
were in had very few leaves left, which peple tld us was because f the Kalas, althugh I’d read that
lack f water is indeed the prblem.
Dad had bked a campsite fr the night, with ready-made tents– fr an adventure! I wasn’t sure
abut that, but they were really luxury tents, within walking distance f sme famus rcks and ther
places we hped t visit. Hwever, Dad als said the sunds f wild creatures wuld help us sleep. That
sunded wrrying – until the “wild creatures” turned ut t be frgs! S I was embarrassed by my fears –
and kept awake by the frgs! But we had fun making meals tgether– we’d brught fd, as we knew
there’d be nwhere t eat.
In fact, this whle trip was fantastic!
