二、句型(语法) (尤其注重新旧知识的归纳类比)
情态动词can/could表示能力;情态动词can/could/may表示许可。
- can表示现在的能力;could表示过去的能力。我们也可以用be able to 来表示能力,be动词的形式根据句子的时态而变化。
- 表示许可时,could 比can更委婉,而may则更正式一些。

感叹句基本句型
感叹句通常由 和 来引导。
形(容词)名(词)相连用 ;形(容词)名(词)不相连用 。
1. What 引导的感叹句可分为下列四种句型:
What + a + 读音以辅音开头的形容词+ 单数可数名词+ 陈述句(主+ 谓)!
What a beautiful girl she is! (她是个)多么美丽的女孩啊!
What + an + 读音以元音开头的形容词+ 单数可数名词+ 陈述句(主+ 谓)!
What an honest man he is! (他是个)多么诚实的人啊!
What + 形容词+ 可数名词复数+ 陈述句(主+ 谓)!
What big apples these are! (这些是)多大的苹果啊!
What + 形容词+ 不可数名词+ 陈述句(主+ 谓)!
What fine weather it is! 多好的天气啊!
2. how 引导的感叹句可分为下列两种句型:
How+ 形容词+陈述句(主谓)! How clever the boy is!多聪明的小孩啊!
How + 副词+ 陈述句(主+ 谓)! How fast he runs! 他跑得多快啊!
What(+不定冠词)+ 和 +缩略的陈述句
他是多好的一个男孩啊!What a he !

1. Go through the tables at the top of page 85 and explain the use of “can/could” and their negative forms. We use “can” to say that we are able to do something .We use “could” to say that we were able to do something in the past .
2. Ask students to work out the rule on their own .

Reinforce the use of “could/ could not” for the past and “can/can not” for the
present .Then they complete the sentences on their own .
