Talk abut the picture f a bk《Three days t see》. D yu knw the bk? D yu knw the writer? If yu are blind and deaf, hw will yu feel? Lead the students knw abut Helen Keller.
Step 2: Presentatin
1. Fast reading. Lking at the pictures, students g thrugh the passage quickly, then answer this questins: What was Helen Keller? (She was a writer.)
Was she healthy? (N, she was deaf and blind.)
2. Intensive reading. Read the stry n Page12 carefully. Then answer the questins.
When and hw did Helen Keller becme deaf and blind?
When she was 18 mnths ld, she fell ill and became deaf and blind.
Culd her parents help her?
N, they didn’t. They did nt knw hw t help her.
Why did Helen ften get angry?
Because she culdn't see anything, she culdn't hear anything, and she culdn't speak at all.
