本节课学生将继续学习单词horse, rabbit和句型— Can a horse run?  — Yes, it can./ No, it can’t.和— What animals can fly?  — Birds can fly.

1、Review

Ask and answer to review the animals.

T: What’s this?

Ss: It’s a fish. Fish can swim.

T: What’s this?

Ss: It’s a bird. Birds can fly.

T: Can you fly?

Ss: No, I can’t.

T: Can you sing?

Ss: Yes, I can.

（设计意图：复习上两节课所学的单词和句型，使学生带着积极的心态投入到学习中去。）

2、Study the new words and sentence

Step1. Show the animals and study the new words.

T: What’s this?

Ss: horse/horses; rabbit/rabbits.

（设计意图：学习新单词，同时给出了单词的复数形式。通过在PPT中给出数量不同的动物，让学生更好地理解单词复数的意义。）

Step2. Think

Show the pictures and ask the students.

（设计意图：基于上节课的内容和PPT中给出的照片，学生很容易回答该问题，从而引出本课的新句子：Horses can run.和Rabbits can jump.）

Step3. Guess

Show the pictures and review the sentence.

（设计意图：复习上节课的句型，同时进一步巩固本节课的新单词：horse和rabbit，使学生带着轻松的心态投入到下面的学习中去。）

Step4. Dialogue

反复领读对话，并找学生互相对话。

— Can a horse run?  — Yes, it can.

— Can it fly?  — No, it can’t.

— What animals can fly?  — Birds can fly.

（设计意图：引出本课新句型，通过反复读，加深学生的理解。上节课学习的Can开头的一般疑问句主要是对人提问，本节课则进一步学习对动物提问，回答都用Yes/No。对于What开头的问句属于特殊疑问句，回答不用Yes/No。）

Step5. Work in pairs.

模仿以下例句，用run, jump, swim, sing, dance, fly进行对话练习。

例句：

— Can you run?  — Yes, I can.

— Can you jump?  — Yes, I can.

— Can a horse run?  — Yes, it can.

— Can a horse fly?  — No, it can’t.

模仿以下例句，两两学生进行对话练习。

例句：

— What animals can fly?  — Birds can fly.

— What animals can swim?  — Dogs can swim. / Ducks can swim. / Fish can swim.

— What animals can run?  — Horses can run.

— What animals can jump?  — Rabbits can jump.

根据照片中给出的动物，模仿以下例句进行对话。（首先给出马的照片，并讲解该对话，之后再让学生进行模仿。）

例句：

— What’s this?

— It’s a horse.

— Can a horse run?

— Yes, it can.

— Can it fly?

— No, it can’t.

— What animals can fly?

— Birds can fly.

（设计意图：通过反复练习，加深学生对本节课新句型的理解和记忆。注意：Can开头的一般疑问句回答都用Yes/No；对于What开头的问句属于特殊疑问句，回答不用Yes/No。）

Step6. Summary.

板书本节课重点句型：

— Can a horse run/fly/swim/jump/…?  —马能够跑/飞/游泳/跳吗？

— Yes, it can./ No, it can’t.  —是的，它能。/不，它不能。

— What animals can fly/swim/jump/run/…?  —哪些动物能够飞/游泳/跳/跑…？

3、Homework

会读写本课单词。

分别利用” run, jump, fly, swim“做对话练习，并记录下来。
