一、 教学内容
译林版小学英语五年级下册Unit6 In the kitchen,story time 板块。
二、 教学目标
1. 知识目标:
(1)能听、说、读单词game, smell, meat, vegetables, tomato, potato, yummy等。
(2)能听懂、会说、会读、会写句型:That smells nice. Are you …ing?及其回答。How’s the meat/soup…?It’s yummy/nice. I can’t wait.等。
2. 技能目标
(1) 能正确、流利有感情地朗读故事,并在掌握课文大意的基础上复述课文。
(2)学生能够利用所学句型进行创新运用。
3. 情感目标
(1) 能学会欣赏、赞美别人。
(2) 能够珍惜父母之爱,懂得为父母付出。
(3)激发学生学习英语的兴趣,培养学生学习英语的能力。
三、教学重点
1. 在听故事的过程中理解词汇及句型: Are you doing …? Yes, I am./No, I’m not.、How is the meat/soup/…?及正确回答。
2. 能够从整体到局部理解故事内容。
3. 能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。
四、教学难点:
1.vegetable、tomato、potato等词汇的正确发音。
2.meat with potatoes学生易忘复数。

六、教学过程
Step1 Pre-reading
- Enjoy the songs
播放两首歌曲,引出两类单词fruit、vegetable.
新授tomato、tomatoes、potato、potatoes、vegetable、vegetables。
2、Introduce myself
Name:Chen Jia
Job: an English teacher
Hobbies: cooking----a great cook
T: Look! I’m good at cooking meat with potatoes.(新授meat。eat--meat)出示图片土豆烧肉,并新授。
新授tomato soup、yummy。
3、Happy game
T: When you see some pics or words, say them out loudly. When you see the pics of tomato soup and meat with potatoes, please say yummy.
Step2 While-reading
1、 Ask and guess
T: We talked about so much food. But Where can we see them? 学生猜测,揭题In the kitchen
2、 Think and ask
T: When you see this title, do you have any questions? 给出关键词who、what time、what、whose
3、 Listen and judge(故事背景部分)
(1) It is six o’clock in the evening.
(2) Liu Tao comes home from a computer game.
(3) His grandparents are cooking dinner in the kitchen.
随题选择game A.游戏 B.比赛
T: If you come home from a football game, how do you feel now?
S: Hungry and thirsty.
T: Yes, LT is also hungry and thirsty.
4、 Cooking time
(1) Watch and answer(观看第一部分卡通)
T:What are they cooking in the kitchen?
Dad----meat with potatoes
Mom---some tomato soup
(2) Ask and learn
T: We know Dad is cooking meat with potatoes. How’s the meat? Read Part 1
S: It’s nice.
T: How do you know that?
出示句子That smells nice。新授smell
T:This is the meat. Can you smell it? 操练句型That smells nice.
T: The meat smells nice. Can LT wait? 操练句型I can’t wait, Dad!

5、Drinking time
(1) Listen and answer
T: What is LT doing now?
S:LT is looking for some juice in the fridge.
T追问:What does he want to drink?
S: He wants to drink some apple juice.
T追问:Is there any apple juice in the fridge?

6、 Eating time
(1) Look and say
T:Listen!(时钟声)Dinner is ready. Look at this pic, they are eating the meal. Look at LT, what will he say? Guess!

T:Parents do so much for us. We can give them a surprise. LT is making a surprise for his parents. YL is calling him. Let’s look at their dialogues.
