1.并列连词的用法

2.并列连词短语的用法
either... or...，意为“要么......要么......；或者......或者......”，连接两个并列主语时，谓语动词遵循“就近原则”；
例：In the evening, I either watch TV or play computer games.
在晚上，我要么看电视要么玩电脑游戏。
both... and...，意为“两者都......”，连接两个并列主语时，谓语动词用复数形式；
例：Both she and her little sister do well in English. 她和她妹妹都擅长英语。
neither... nor...，意为“既不......也不......”，连接两个并列主语时，谓语动词遵循“就近原则”；
例：Neither he nor his children like fish. 他和他的孩子们都不喜欢鱼肉。
not only... but also...，意为“不但......而且......”，连接两个并列主语时，谓语动词遵循“就近原则”；
例：Not only you but also he wants to buy the book.
不但你而且他也想买这本书。
【注意】：
neither...nor...，either... or...，not only...but also...连接两个成分作主语时，谓语动词要和最近的主语保持一致，即“就近原则”；
both...and... 连接两个成分作主语时，谓语动词只能用复数。

ⅰ.基础知识
1.引导时间状语从句的从属连词
①as，意为“当......时候”，表示一件事情发生时，另一件事情也在进行中；
例：As I grow older, I like to reread the classics.
随着年龄的增长，我喜欢重读经典作品。
②when，意为“当......的时候”，从句用一般过去时，主句用过去进行时；
例：When we got the top, it was raining very hard.
当我们到达山顶时，雨下得非常大。
③until/till，意为“直到......”，常用在“not... until...”结构中，表示“直到......才......”；
例：In some families, competition continues until the kids get older.
在些家庭，竞争一直持续到孩子长大。
④while，意为“正当......时，正在......时”，while引导的从句中，谓语动词必须是延续性动词，且常用进行时态；
例：I was doing my homework while my mother was preparing dinner.
当妈妈准备晚餐时，我正在做作业。
⑤after，意为“在......之后”，表示在某个时间点的一段时间之后；
例：I’ll play football after I finish my |homework. 我完成作业后将去踢足球。
⑥before，意为“在......之前”，表示某一时间或动作之前已经完成的动作或存在的状态；
例：Please turn off the lights before you leave the room.在你离开房间前请关灯。
⑦as soon as，意为“一......就......”，引导的从句常用一般现在时，主句用一般将来时；
例：I’ll visit you as soon as I come back. 我一回来就去拜访你。
2.引导条件状语从句的从属连词
①if，意为“如果”，if引导的条件状语，当主句是一般将来时，从句用一般现在时；
例：If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time!
如果你去聚会，你将会玩|得愉快!
②unless，意为“除非，如果不”，unless可以转化为“if... not...”结构。主从句时态遵循“主将从现”原则；
例：He won’t finish the task unless he works hard.
如果他不努力工作，就不能完成这项任务。
3.引导目的状语从句的从属连词
①so that，意为“为了，以便于”，其后跟句子；
例：They speeded up so that they could get there on time.
为了能够按时到达那里，他们加快了速度。
②in order that，意为“为了”，其后跟句子；
例：Please speak louder in order that everyone can hear you.
为了让大家都能听见你说的话，请大声一点。
【拓展】：当从句主语与主句主语一致时，可用so as to 或 in order to 表目的。
例：He worked day and night so as to/in order to succeed.
为了成功，他夜以继日地工作。
4.引导让步状语从句的从属连词
①though/although，意为“虽然，尽管”，引导让步状语从句时，不能与but同时使用；
例：I really enjoy this work though it is very hard.
我很喜欢这份工作，尽管它非常难。
Although it was so cold, he still went out.尽管天气很冷，他还是出去了。
②even though/even if，意为“即使”，引导让步状语从句时，不能与but同时使用；
例：I went to my favorite coffee place even though it was two blocks east from my office.
我去了我最喜欢的咖啡店，虽然它离我的办公室向东有两个街区远。
5.引导原因状语从句的从属连词
①because，意为“因为”，表示直接的原因或理由而不是推断的原因，着重点在从句，常用于回答why引导的疑问句；
例：I named it Friday because that was the day I met him.
我给它取名星期五是因为这是我遇见他的那一天。
②as，意为“因为，由于”，语气比 since弱，表示原因是对方已知的，一般放在主句之前；
例：As it was getting dark mother began to worry about my brother.
由于天越来越黑，妈妈开始为我的弟弟担心。
③since，意为“既然”，语气比 because 弱，表示原因是对方已知的；
例：Since he says so, it must be true. 既然他这么说，那一定是真的。
6.引导结果状语从句的从属连词
①so...that...，意为“如此......以至于......”，so后跟形容词或副词；
例：He was so angry that he couldn’t say a word.
他如此生气以至于说不出一句话。
②such...that...，意为“如此......以至于......”，such后跟名词；
例：It’s such a fine day that many people go to the park for fun.
天气是如此好，以至于许多人都到公园里玩。
