Inspiratin 4, as the missin is called, is indeed impressive, the first time "nrmal peple" with minimal training will leave the planet, enter rbit, and return t Earth days later - a cnsiderable advancement frm the 11-minute jy ride Jeff Bezs tk in July. But despite the lfty name, dn't be fled: Inspiratin, is nt the victry fr everyne that it presents itself t be.
I've been hugely critical f the billinaire space race, which incautiusly pllutes ur atmsphere and has the enrmus pprtunity cst f time, mney, resurces, and energy that culd g tward mre urgent planetary issues, like wrld hunger and glbal pverty. Clean energy research, sustainable transprtatin innvatins, and the creatin f high-paying jbs in green sectrs wuld d far mre fr the average nn-billinaire than a rcket ship ever will.
Still, we're being tricked and get cnvinced that SpaceX's civilian missin is "inspiring" because its passengers aren't prfessinals. The Falcn 9 rcket was chartered (受特许的) by businessman Jared lsaacman, wh has successfully shaped the missin as a wrthy cause fr Wednesday's vyage is part f a large fundraising effrt fr St. Jude Children's Research Hspital.
As fr his guests, lsaacman is taking St. Jude physician assistant Hayley Arceneaux; Sian Prctr, a passed-ver finalist frm NASA's astrnaut prgram; and Chris Sembski, wh was gifted his spt after his friend wn it in a raffle (抽奖). N dubt, the primary reasn fr the jurney is marketing fr private space travel.
It's hard nt t be wn ver! But that's als the pint. "Civilian" missins like Inspiratin make space travel appear t be "accessible t all", despite the fact that spaceflight will be "a hbby nly reserved fr billinaires and cent-millinaires fr many years t cme," as Business Insider writes. Yet if space turism cmpanies can get the general public t supprt them, then they've effectively gtten us t buy int smething that des nt actually d any gd t us. Additinally, whenever smething earnestly asks yu t cnsider it an "inspiratin", it's always gd t ask yurself why.
    27. Accrding t the passage, Inspiratin 4 is ________.
    A. the first civilian missin t rbit the earth
    B. a minute-lng jy ride t leave the planet
    C. the first space trip fr peple withut training
    D. an impressive spaceflight experienced by prfessinals
    28. The underlined wrd "lfty"" in Paragraph 1 prbably means ________.
    A. interestingB. nbleC. cmmnD. riginal
    29. Which f the fllwing statements n Inspiratin4 des the authr agree with?
    A. It slws the creatin f high-paying jbs
    B. It wrsens wrld hunger and glbal pverty.
    C. It wastes time, mney, resurces and energy.
    D. It accelerates the research prcess f clean energy.
    30. Which f the fllwing is the best title f the article?
    A. Space trip: Inspiratin fr Civilians
    B. Inspiratin4: Nt Really an Inspiratin
    C. Space turism: A Privilege fr Billinaires

Scial phbia is the intense fear f interacting with peple r perfrming, while specific phbias are the fear f a particular situatin, activity r thing. 34 Smebdy with acrphbia - an extreme fear f heights — may experience a panic attacl, stmpl trying t walk acrss a bridge. Depending n the cause f their phbia, sufferers ften try their best t avid situatins that culd affect them.
35 Fr example, smebdy may develp cynphbia— the fear f dgs—after being bitten. But whether the cause is ratinal (理性的) r irratinal, as sn as the brain ntices a scary stimulus (刺激物), it activates the fight-r-flight respnse, thus preparing the bdy fr actin.
    A. Then, hw can it be vercme?
    B. These irratinal fears can cause majr disturbance t everyday life.
    C. But in that mment, yur brain and bdy reacted as if yu were in extreme danger.
    D. Despite this, mst f us are able t ignre ur fears when it's clear we aren't in any immediate danger.
    E. Our brains warn us f the risks that might lie ahead, but then we ften get prepared and vercme them.
    F. These extreme fears are divided int three different grups: agraphbia, scial phbia and specific phbias.
    G. The cause f phbias is nt always clear, but many cases are linked t experiencing r witnessing unpleasant events.
