课堂教学
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Show a picture of a room.Then ask the students to make dialogues like that in activity 4c,Section A.
Step 2 Work on 1a
1.Ask the students to read the words in the box.
2.Ask the students to look at the pictures and then let them describe the pictures.
3.Make the students use the words in the box to write a sentence about each picture:
(1)A UFO is landing.
(2)An alien is running after a man.
(3)A man is running.
Step 3 Work on 1b
1.Talk with the students about the three pictures in 1a and ask the students to number them.
2.Play the recording for the students to check their prediction.
3.Play the recording again and ask “What might happen next?” Get the students to use target language to predict the following things of the story.Ask them to share their views in class.
Step 4 Work on 1c
1.Play the recording for a third time and let the students listen and fill in the blanks in 1c.
2.Check the answers.
Step 5 Work on 1d
1.Make the students work in pairs to make conversations like that in 1d.
2.Ask some students to act out their conversations.Other students listen and learn from them.

本课时通过听说活动以及学生的小组合作,用目标句型对各种学习方法进行了讨论,探讨了最佳的学习方法。老师应利用一切机会鼓励学生快乐学习,不必拘谨。在语法方面,学生能够运用情态动词推测正在发生的事情,以及区分不同的情态动词,如might,could,must,can’t表推测的用法。1d的对话简单易懂,建议学生背诵并默写其中的重要句子。
