    教学目标

    知识目标

    ①Key vocabulary:

    little, a little, only, about, kilo, people, as well as, grass, large, usually, alone, be good at, strong, catch, even, all kinds of

    ②Key sentences:

    It eats plants and a little fruit, but it doesn’t eat meat.

    The panda eats about 30 kilos of bamboo a day as well as other plants.

    It’s a very large animal and usually lives alone.

    能力目标

    To understand passages about animals.

    To learn some key words and useful expressions.

    情感目标

    ①Let students actively participate in the classroom and speak English boldly.

    To enhance students' awareness of animal protection.

    教学重点

    Be able to introduce common animals in the third person singular.

    教学难点

    Review the general present tense of the third person singular verb.

    教学准备

    教师准备:tape recorder, courseware

    学生准备:textbook, exercise book

    教学过程

    1. Lead-in:

    ①Ask students to watch a video.

    ②Ask students to talk about what animals they can see in the video.

    1. Presentation

    Task 1 Learn the new words

    ①Ask the students to find some places on the map.

    ②Ask the students to look at the map again and write four sentences.

    ③Teacher checks the answers.

    ④Organize the students to read the new words together.

    Task 2 Reading

    ①Play the tape and ask students to scan the passage.

    ②Ask students to skim the passage and complete the table.

    Guide the students to listen to the tape again.

    Ask students to complete the sentences with the correct form of the words and expression from the box.

    ⑤Organize the students to read the passage with the recording.

    ⑥Organize the students to check the answers in the whole class.

    Task 3 Language points

    ①Organize students to come to the blackboard and show out some difficult language points that they found.

    ②Teacher explains the language points and help the students to solve the difficult points.

    Task 4 Important sentences

    ①Teacher shows the important sentences.

    ②Ask the students to read through the sentences.

    1. Practice

    Ask students to finish the practice.

    Through a series of activities, this class guides students to consolidate and expand their knowledge and use it flexibly, so as to improve their comprehensive English language ability.
