    20216月新高考全国1卷】

    A MOTHER'S DAY SURPRISE

    The twins were filled with excitement as they thought of the surprise they were planning for Mother's Day. How pleased and proud Mother would be when they brought her breakfast in bed. They planned to make French toast and chicken porridge. They had watched their mother in the kitchen. There was nothing to it. Jenna and Jeff knew exactly what to do.

    The big day came at last. The alarm rang at 6 a.m. The pair went down the stairs quietly to the kitchen. They decided to boil the porridge first. They put some rice into a pot of water and left it to boil while they made the French toast. Jeff broke two eggs into a plate and added in some milk. Jema found the bread and put two slices into the egg mixture. Next, Jef turned on the second stove burner to heat up the frying pan. Everything was going smoothly until Jeff started frying the bread. The pan was too hot and the bread turned black within seconds. Jenna threw the burnt piece into the sink and put in the other slice of bread. This time, she turned down the fire so it cooked nicely.

    Then Jeff noticed steam shooting out of the pot and the lid starting to shake. The next minute, the porridge boiled over and put out the fire. Jenna panicked. Thankfully, Jeff stayed calm and turned off the gas quickly. But the stove was a mess now. Jenna told Jef to clean it up so they could continue to cook the rest of the porridge. But Jeff's hand touched the hot burner and he gave a cry of pain. Jenna made him put his hand in cold water. Then she caught the smell of burning. Oh dearThe piece of bread in the pan had turned black as well.

    Para1

    As the twins looked around them in disappointment, their father appeared.

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    Para2

    The twins carried the breakfast upstairs and woke their mother up.

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

            通读全文可知,该故事主要是用一般过去时讲述的,故续写内容的时态也应一致。

    第四步  读结构,辨划分方式

           弄清故事的结构特点及表现形式,选择合适的方式划分段落,常用的有4

    以时空变化划分(指时间和地点)

    以人物思想感情的变化来划分;

    按记叙内容的变化来划分;

    按描述角度的变化、事情发展的阶段来划分。

     再看回真题,一开始,这对双胞胎在母亲节前就在策划给母亲的惊喜,而后是在母亲节当天,两人在厨房为母亲准备早餐。而由续写两段首句可知,续写第一段这对Twins还是在厨房里,第二段是在楼上妈妈的卧室里,人物所处地点不断变化,由此可知, 题目是按照时空变化来划分的。 而我们在构思续写内容时也应在这两个地点的基础上进行拓展。

    第五步 读语言,定风格特色

      挖掘文本语言表达风格,模仿原文语言写句子。使续写部分的语言风格与原文的风格相一致,以促进语言协同。此外,如果原文有较多对话, 续写也可出现对话;如原文没有对话, 尽量少用对话形式。

    写作思路

    Theme

    1. Gratitude to mother’s hard work.

    1How pleased and proud Mother would be when they brought her breakfast in bed.

    2The twins carried the breakfast upstairs and woke their mother up.

    1There was nothing to it. Jenna and Jeff knew exactly what to do.

    2Oh dear! The piece of bread in the pan had turned black as well.

    Implication from the two sentences

    Para1 As the twins looked around them in disappointment, their father appeared.

    Was the situation at that moment?

    Would their father help them out?

    What would Father do in order to help ?

    Para2 The twins carried the breakfast upstairs and woke their mother up. .

    What would the twins say to their mother?

    What did they understand and realize from this incident?

    答案

    As the twins looked around them in disappointment, their father appeared. One look and he knew what they were up to. Seeing their discouraged faces, he told them to clean up the kitchen while he helped them make breakfast for Mother. The twins cheered up and did as told. Within an hour, the kitchen was cleaned, and Father had successfully made some French toast and chicken porridge as the children wished. Then he sneaked back to bed. The twins prepared the breakfast tray, added a card they had made, and then headed for their parents' bedroom.

    当这对双胞胎失望地环顾四周时,他们的父亲出现了。他看了一眼,他就知道他们在做什么。看到他们沮丧的脸,他让他们打扫厨房,同时帮他们为母亲做早餐。这对双胞胎高兴起来,照做了。不到一个小时,厨房就打扫干净了,父亲按照孩子们的意愿,成功地做了一些法式吐司和鸡肉粥。然后他偷偷溜回床上。双胞胎准备了早餐托盘,加了一张他们做的卡片,然后前往他们父母的卧室。

    The twins carried the breakfast upstairs and woke their mother up. "Happy Mother's Day, darling Mummy!"  thrilled voice yelling from their throat, the twins hugged their mom tightly. Moved and excited, mother held the twins with her warm arms as well. Her eyes widened at the sight of the breakfast tray. She shook father who was pretending to snore. He whistled in astonishment when seeing the breakfast. Mother bit into a sandwich and said she had never  tasted a better one. Jeff immediately wanted to have a bite. Jenna caught her father's eye and they winked at each other secretly.

    这对双胞胎把早餐带到楼上,叫醒了他们的母亲。母亲节快乐,亲爱的妈妈!激动的声音从他们的喉咙里叫喊着,双胞胎紧紧地拥抱着他们的妈妈。母亲感动而激动,也用她温暖的胳膊抱着这对双胞胎。一看到早餐托盘,她就睁大了眼睛。她摇着假装打鼾的父亲。当他看到早餐时,他惊讶地吹着口哨。妈妈咬了咬三明治,说她从来没有尝过比这更好的三明治过。杰夫立刻想咬他一口。詹娜抓住了她父亲的目光,他们偷偷地互相眨了眨眼。

    一、记叙文的写作要素:

    1. 要交待清楚五要素的内容,即where, when, what, who ,how,给读者一个内容完整、细节清晰的故事。

    2. 事情的叙述可以按时间或空间的顺序叙述,让读者易于把握所叙述内容  之间的内在关联,从而理解文章主题。

    3. 时态通常使用与过去有关的时态,如一般过去时。

    开头: 交待必要的背景。如:时间、地点、人物等。

    可以使用表示时间或空间的连接词,使文章连贯。
    如:at first…; then…; few minutes later…

    结尾: 事情的结果或感想、愿望等。
    、词汇选择四原则

    4.短语优先原则

    二、句式确定五方向

    1.肯定不如双否好

    []In the neighborhood I'm famous.

    →In the neighborhood there is nobody who does not know me.

    2.主动不如被动巧

    []We can borrow five books at most at a time,and we can keep them for ten days.

    (江苏省南师附中、海安中学等四校2021-2022学年高三上学期12月联考) My dad doesn’t write me letters. And he doesn’t always remember my birthday or wedding anniversary -- or even how old I am sometimes.

    But I only need to look around me to be reminded of his love. He restored a 100-year-old rocking chair after I told him how much I wanted one. When I moved into my first apartment, he spent his weekends in a small space replacing pipes. And when I lost a blue stone from a favorite necklace, he worked his magic with common stuff

    The four greatest words I know are “Dad will build it”.

    I could never forget when I was seven, one day we walked by a toy store window. There in the corner was the most unusual doll house had ever seen. It was shaped like an upturned log. Little oval windows were cut into it decorated with white curtains and framed by tiny balconies.

    “Oh, Daddy,” I said, “isn’t it beautiful? Do you think Santa Clause will bring it to me?”

    Dad looked at the $100 price tag -- too high a figure in those days. “I think even Santa couldn't afford this house,” he joked, hiking up his belt, as he often does when he’s nervous. “Maybe one day, sweetheart, ”Dad probably hoped I’d forget about the doll house, but I kept talking about it.

    On Christmas morning, I awoke early and raced downstairs. In the faint light, I made out some wrapped boxes under the tree-- but none large enough to contain my doll house.

    Dad could see my disappointment.

    【答案】Para1:

    Dad could see my disappointment. My tears welling up in eyes, he pulled me onto his lap and gently assured me, “Dad will build it.” As promised, he got down to preparing all the materials right after Christmas. Night after night, Dad would come home from his job dead tired, yet he’d always find time to work on the doll house. So eager was I that I often stood nearby, occasionally giving a helping hand under his instructions. Gradually, my doll house began to take shape.

    Para2:

    Four months later, a beautiful doll house was in front of me. With the shape like an upturned log, it looked exactly the same as the one in the toy store—little oval windows, white curtains and even the tiny balconies. But to me, no doll house in the world was better than the one Dad made just for me with his two hands. It was he who brought my dream to life! Screaming with excitement and gratitude, I threw myself at him, “Thank you, Dad.” He smiled, patting me gently on the head with his rough hands. I always know “Dad will build it.” is his Fatherlish to say “I love you.”

    (河北省石家庄市2021-2022学年高三质量检测) It was eight o'clock on a May morning, and Micah, my 17-year-old daughter, was in our bonus room upstairs. It had been her temporary eleventh-grade classroom ever since schools had moved to remote learning due to the pandemic (疫情).

    From the kitchen, I listened for the sound of her tapping on her laptop. I resisted the urge to check on her. Way too often, Micah was texting friends and commenting on their posts about the fun they were having together. We'd barely left the house for 10 weeks straight.

    "Mom, everyone is hanging out today!" Micah's voice came from upstairs. "Why can't I?"

    I went up the stairs. Micah was lying on the floor wearing pajamas(睡衣), her laptop, school iPad and cell phone in front of her. "It's not fair," she said. I have no one I can be with. I can't wait until I'm 18 and can do what I want."

    We'd had this conversation before. Still, I couldn't help but feel sorry for her. I was sick of having to stay at home too. Even though Micah and I were home together more than we had been in years, we might as well have been living in separate worlds. "Wanna watch TV later?" I asked. "No, thanks." Micah shook her head.

    "In a few weeks you'll be going to sports camp,'' I added "That's something you can look forward to." I closed the door. I was used to Micah's rejection, but it still hurt. Teenage independence is heathy, but I worried if I didn't find a way to bond with my girl soon, I might never be close with her again. She'd be 18 in the fall and had already convinced herself she didn't need me anymore. Maybe she was right. No matter what I did, I couldn't seem to reach her.

    注意:1.续写词数应为150左右;

    2.请按如下格式在答题卡的相应位置作答。

    That evening, I was surfing online and saw a friend's children playing with their new cat.

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    "This is the one I want," she said, smiling.

    ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    【答案】That evening. I was surfing online and saw a friend’s children playing with their new cat. An idea hit me. “Why not get her a pet?” I thought to myself. Acting on a sudden inspiration, I logged in a pet shelter website and went straight to Micah’s room. "Sweetie, I've got a surprise for you." I showed her the pictures of those cats that she could adopt. With her mouth wide opening, she simply couldn’t take her eyes off those cute creatures. Finally she pointed to a baby cat with yellow spots on the head.

    “This is the one I want "she said, smiling. We paid online and the next day the little angel was delivered to our house. Micah gently scooped it up into her arms and planted her face into the soft fur and then Micah smiled at me with a tender look, "thank you, mum." A huge wave of warmth flooded all over my body and it seemed like a wall between us torn down. My silence drew her attention and she looked at me again, throwing herself in my arms. “I love you, mum.”

    (2021年高考浙江卷) My dad, George, only had an eighth grade education. A quiet man, he didn't understand my world of school activities. From age 14, he worked. And his dad, Albert, took the money my dad earned and used it to pay family expenses.

    I didn't really understand his world either: He was a livestock trucker, and I thought that I would surpass (超过) anything he had accomplished by the time I walked across the stage at high school graduation.

    Summers in the mid-70s were spent at home shooting baskets, hitting a baseball, or throwing a football, preparing for my future as a quarterback on a football team. In poor weather, I read about sports or practiced my trombone (长号).

    The summer before my eighth grade I was one of a group of boys that a neighboring farmer hired to work in his field. He explained our basic task, the tractor fired up and we were off, riding down the field looking for weeds to spray with chemicals. After a short way, the farmer stopped and pointed at a weed which we missed. Then we began again. This happened over and over, but we soon learned to identify different grasses like cockleburs, lamb's-quarters, foxtails, and the king of weeds, the pretty purple thistle. It was tiring work, but I looked forward to the pay, even though I wasn't sure how much it would amount to.

    At home, my dad said, "A job's a big step to growing up. I'm glad you will be contributing to the household." My dad's words made me realize that my earnings might not be mine to do with as I wished.

    My labors lasted about two weeks, and the farmer said there might be more work, but I wasn't interested. I decided it was not fair that I had to contribute my money.

    注意:

    1.所续写短文的词数应为150左右;

    2.至少使用5个短文中标有下划线的关键词语;

    3.续写部分分为两段,每段的开头语已为你写好;

    4.续写完成后,请用下划线标出你所使用的关键词语。

    Paragraph 1The pay arrived at last.

    Paragraph 2I understood immediately what my parents were worried about.

    【答案】The pay arrived at last. Although the job was very tiring, I was very happy in my heart for I got something from my work. The toil of labor was forgotten for the time being. I thought I should have my own money and planned how to spend it. “How much money have you earned?” Dad asked. I was surprised, reluctant to say my income. The next morning, my dad’s livestock truck started running. I saw my father’s hard-working figure and thought of his words “A job’s a big step to growing up”.

    I understood immediately what my parents were worried about. They were worried that I was too selfish to give. I realized that my labor was very hard, but my growth and our whole family had been depending on the hard work of my parents! Dad never complained about unfairness! He even seemed to think that was fair. I thought, “I’ve only worked for two weeks, but how many years my father has worked!” In the evening, Dad came back. I proudly took out my own money and handed it to Dad.
