(2022·天津市新华中学模拟预测)Dear Dad,
Tday, I spent a lt f time selecting and reading the Father’s Day cards at the shpping mall. They all had a special message that in sme way r anther reflected hw I feel abut yu. Yet it ccurred t me that nt a single card said what I really wanted t say t yu.
Yu’ll sn be 84 years ld. Dad, yu and I will have had 55 Father’s Days tgether. I haven’t always been with yu n Father’s Day, but I’ve always been with yu in my heart. Yu knw, Dad, there was a time when we were separated by the generatin gap. Yu std n ne side f the Great Divide and I n the ther.
The Father-Daughter Cnflict shifted int high gear(档位)when yu taught me t drive the ld Ddge while I decided I wuld drive the Chevy whether yu liked it r nt. T my surprise, when the plice fficer sent me hme after yu reprted the Chevy stlen, yu were s tlerant(宽容的)abut it because I had thught that wuld prbably be the wrst night f my life.
Our relatinship greatly imprved when I married a man yu liked, and things really turned arund when we began making babies right and left. Smewhere alng the line, the generatin gap disappeared. I suppse I saw us and ur relatinship as aging tgether, rather like a fine wine.
But the strangest thing happened last week. I was at a stp sign and I watched as yu turned the crner in yur car. It didn’t immediately ccur t me that it was yu because the man driving lked s elderly and weak behind the wheel f that huge car. Perhaps I saw yur age fr the first time that day.
I guess what I’m trying t say, Dad, is what every sn and daughter wants t say t their Dad tday. Hnring a father n Father’s Day is abut respect and sharing and acceptance and tlerance and giving and taking. It’s abut lving smene mre than wrds can say, and it’s my wish that it never had t end.
I lve yu, Dad.
Lve,
Jenny

(2022·安徽蚌埠·三模)It was an early September day, cl and bright and just right fr running, and I was in the first few miles f a 10.5-mile race ver a curse thrugh tiring hills. Still I felt rested and springy; despite the hills, it was ging t be a fine run.
Just ahead f me was Peggy Mimn, a teacher frm Munt Kisc, New Yrk. She t was running easily, mving alng efficiently at my speed. The pace felt cmfrtable, s I decided t stay where I was: why bther cncentrating n pace when she was such a nice pacesetter fr me? I wuld vertake her later n when she tired.
S I was running clsely behind her. Then the race was getting tugher. We had fur miles left and already it was beginning t be real wrk. I was breathing hard.
Peggy vertk a yung male runner. Apparently she knew him, fr they exchanged a few cheerful wrds as she passed him. Their exchange wrried me. Yu dn’t chat during a race unless yu are feeling gd, and Peggy plainly was, but whatever springiness I had nce pssessed had left me lng since.
Still, I was clse enugh t vertake her if she tired, s I didn’t give up hpe cmpletely. We were appraching a lng, punishing hill nw and it wuld be the test. We were a mile frm the finish line, s whatever happened n the hill wuld almst certainly determine wh crssed it first.
As I mved up the hill, wrking hard, my attentin wandered fr a few minutes. When I lked up, Peggy was mving away—first five yards, then ten, then mre. Finally it was clear that there was n hpe f catching her. She beat me decisively.
There is an imprtant lessn in that race. Much f what yu read abut running makes a sharp distinctin between the sexes. Wmen are assumed t be weaker, slwer and nt nearly as skilled athletically. Yet as Peggy Mimn s clearly demnstrated, the similarities between male and female runners are mre imprtant than the differences.

A yung father wh held a child in his arms walked past me. I felt as if I saw my childhd frm anther space: happy and carefree.
But nw ... I dn't knw whether it is because I have grwn up r because my dad is getting ld. We differ in ur ways f thinking. He always puts his pinins and cdes f behavir n me. Dad was always like this. Maybe he didn't knw hw t express himself. After shuting at me, he never shwed any mercy r any mments f regret. Hwever, after an argument he has the habit f tucking me underneath the cvers (掖被子) while I am sleeping.
This was hw he always was. He has been a leader fr s lng that telling everyne else what t d has becme his secnd nature.
The light was still n. “Am I wrng?” I whispered, maybe ... With the key in my hand, I was as nervus as I had ever been. At last, I decided t pen the dr.
