专题5 应用文写作之建议信

◇ 写作指导 ◇

建议信是写信人针对某事向收信人提出建议和忠告。这类文章的基本时态多用现在时和一般将来时。

首  段：提出写信的目的；

中间段：提出建议，并说明理由；

结尾段：希望对方采纳建议。

1．段首常用语：

1)        After I read your letter in the newspaper, I am sorry to know that  …

2)        I am very glad to hear that you want to…

3)        I know you have trouble in…after reading your letter.

4)        I am writing to you in reply to ...

5)        I am writing to express my views on/ concerning…

2. 表达建议的常用句式  

1)        I would like to suggest that... 

2)        As far as I am concerned.../In my opinion... 

3)        It seems better that...  Why not...?  

4)        It would be a good idea if ... 

5)        For one thing...for another... 

6)        In the first place/Firstly/First...Secondly//Second...Last but not least...

3．结尾段常用语（归纳总结，提出希望）：

1)        I believe you will take my advice into consideration.

2)        I hope you will find these suggestions useful/ helpful.

3)        I will be more than happy to see improvements in this regard(在这一点上).

4)        I do hope that my ideas will work.

5)        In the end, I will be glad if you find these ideas useful.

6)        I hope what's mentioned above might be helpful.

7)        I will appreciate your consideration of my advice/suggestions/tips.

8)        Please take good consideration of my advice. Thank you.

假设你是某报社编辑，最近收到读者李华的一封来信。信中李华提到自己在学习英语的过程中遇到了困难，这让他很苦恼。请根据以上提示，写一篇回给李华的建议信，帮他解决困难，促进学习。

建议内容：1. 不要灰心，保持良好心态；2. 掌握学习方法；3. 培养对英语的兴趣爱好。

注意：1. 词数100左右；

      2. 信的开头和结尾已为你写好，不计入总词数；

      3. 可适当增加细节，以使行文连贯。

Dear Li Hua,

    I've received your letter, saying you have some difficulties in learning English. I'm sorry to hear that you have such a difficult problem. However, the situation is easy to change if you take my advice.

    My suggestions are as follows. Firstly, you should listen to the teachers carefully in the class. Secondly, the best way to learn English is reading it well and knowing the meanings of it. Thirdly,  you can speak English with your classmates and teachers, which can improve your listening and speaking abilities. What's more, the most important advice is reading English books before the class and after the class.

Dear editor,

  I’m sorry to occupy your precious time , but I really want to tell you something about the problem of some people keeping too many pets nowadays.

  I consider the problem more and more serious for the following reasons. First of all, as is known to people, pets make too much noise that troubles residents a lot. What’s more ，it’s widely accepted that animal wastes pollute the environment which makes people quite uncomfortable. Many owners like taking their pets to public places where they may frighten children or even sometimes bite people. The most important is that pets can spread some diseases and this has attracted much attention.

  Taking all these factors into consideration, I sincerely hope that I can get help from you and expect the media to do something for this.

I am so glad to receive your letter.

As we know, with more and more Chinese going on overseas trips, some of them shout loudly, litter or spit in public, which has done great harm to our good reputation. Therefore, to begin with, you have to understand and respect foreign cultures , so as to get along well . And before you start your overseas trip, remember to learn about the culture and custom there. What’s more, wherever you go you need to protect the environment. In this way, you1’ll win respect for yourself as well as our country. Finally, you should always keep in mind that it is everyone’s responsibility to hold image of our motherland.

Dear Editor,

How are things going with you? I am Hihua, president of the Student Union in our school. According to a recent survey , some middle school students don't have breakfast. Because of this, i am writing to you to express my opinions. (42 ws)

In fact, there are 3 reasons which can explain this . The first reason is that many students stay awake for study so that they get up so late to miss their breakfast. The second is that some students prefer to pay for the games rather than their breakfast. So shocking is the third that a few students skip breakfast to stay slim. As a result, having no breakfast surely does harm to their health and their study, making them not only sleepy in class but difficult to get high marks in the exams. (94 ws)

In my opinion, we shouldn't skip breakfast, for it can provide 30 percent of the whole day's energy and promote a creative mind. School kids should start their days with a regular and nutritious breakfast. (35 ws)
