  5.细心阅读短文，理解每一句话的意思，小组合作解决遇到的疑难问题。

A.In November 1979,pupils in England were able to watch a new program called Monkey.1979年11月，英国学生能够观看一部叫《美猴王》的新电视节目。

called (named)意为“称作...的/叫做的”做后置定语。He has a friend called/named Tom.

B.This is because he can  make 72 changes to his shape and size,turning himself into different animals and objects.这是因为他能根据他的形状和大小，做出72 种变化，把他自己变成不同的动物和物体。

turn...into 意为“把...变成” eg. Please  turn Chinese into English.

  C. At other times ,he is able to make it big and long .有时，他能让它变得又大又长

at other times 意为“有时，在其他时间”

D.And as soon as the TV came out ....and never gives up. 30 多年前这个电视节目一推出，西方的小孩对阅读这个故事很感兴趣，因为聪明的美猴王一直与邪恶斗争，帮助弱者，并且从不放弃。

come out 意为“推出，出版，发行”“出来，出现”“开花，发芽”

The moon came out as soon  as it was dark.

Some flowers come out when spring comes.

more than=over 意为“多于，超过”

become interested in =be interested in 意为“对...感兴趣”后接名词/代词/动名词。

weak “虚弱的，无力的” the weak 意为“弱者”集体名词。the old/the young/the poor/the rich
