The Frbidden City is an imperial palace cmplex at the heart f Beijing. It huses imperial living and gverning quarters, valuable artwrks, and traditinal gardens. The Frbidden City tk 14 years t build and had 24 emperrs in residence. It hsts abut 15 millin visitrs per year, a maximum f 80,000 visitrs per day.
The Great Wall is an example f awe-inspiring ancient defensive architecture. It is the lngest wall in the wrld built in different areas by different dynasties t prtect territrial brders. Its winding path ver rugged cuntry and steep muntains takes visitrs thrugh areas f sme spectacular scenery. I think these tw heritage sites are amng the mst impressive landmarks in the wrld and I have visited bth f them.

Wrld Heritage Sites must be unique in sme aspect, which have special cultural r physical significance, such as ancient ruins, histrical structures, frests r muntains.
There are three types f heritage sites. The mst cmmn type is the man-made sites that are f great cultural r histrical imprtance. There are currently mre than 850 such sites acrss the wrld. One example is the Great Pyramid f Giza in Egypt, ne f the largest cnstructin prjects in ancient times, built frm several millin large blcks f stne. The Great Pyramid was the tallest man-made structure in the wrld fr mre than 3,800 years. Sites like the pyramids shw us hw advanced ancient architecture is.
The secnd type is the sites f utstanding natural imprtance. Yellwstne Natinal Park in the USA is ne f these sites. In 1978, Yellwstne was named a UNESCO Wrld Heritage Site. It’s the ldest natinal park in the USA, and perhaps the ldest in the wrld. With its diverse wildlife and many gethermal features, Yellwstne is treasured arund the wrld. The park is famus fr its spectacular vlcanic geysers which sht steaming water high int the air.
The third type is the mixed sites: the nes that are bth cultural and natural. One example is Munt Huangshan in Anhui Prvince, China. Its twering peaks rise abve a sea f cluds, making fr breathtaking muntain scenery.
Munt Huangshan has been the subject f cuntless paintings and pems. In ttal, there are ver 1,000 UNESCO Wrld Heritage Sites, with new nes being added each year, and all f them are definitely wrth visiting! In the light f the value f heritage, we shuld d ur best t reserve the heritage sites.
