教学过程

1. Lead in:

Show some pictures about space to students and let them watch a video, and then ask students one question: Do you want to visit the moon? Why? If you can have a chance to visit it, what will you do?

2. Words and phrases:

1)  Students should learn words and phrases from the teacher. Teacher should pay attention to the pronunciation of words.

2)  Read together for 3 times.

3)  After that, finish some exercises to help students to remember words and phrases.

3. Texts

1)     Before reading, teachers can lead students to look at the questions on page 59, then answer the questions below.

2)     Read by themselves, and try to translate the text and find unfamiliar points. Then finish the exercises.

3)     Read for the second time and analyze the text by each group. Students should summarize the article.

4)     Finish some exercises about the text to check students’ understanding of this text.

教学反思

About the topic of space, students may know little about it. Therefore, teachers should put some pictures or video to help them know about the space. And then students can have a better understanding about this unit. What’s more, students are expected to master the new words. The teachers are expected to enable students to master some reading skills. Therefore, this lesson can accomplish the aims of the first lesson. After class, teachers should ask students to review on time.
