Music is an imprtant part f life in Kenya. Sam Lutmia: “Grwing up, I sang a lt in schl. And we had cmpetitins and chir and music every year. ” Sam Lutmia wrks fr the Berklee Cllege f Music. He was brn and spent his early years in Kenya. Sam Lutmia: “When I mved t the States, I gt ④_________a higher levelf music. And I was like, ‘Is there smething I can d nw that I’m in the States? ‘”  He helped t create a grup ⑤______Glbal Yuth Grve. Its gal is t bring western music t yung Kenyans, and get them t cnsider music as a career.
Sam Lutmia: “I started talking with students at Berklee Cllege f Music and faculty members, and they all respnded ⑥_________. And we started cllecting instruments. ” Thirteen Americans made the trip t Kenya in July. They ⑦________fur high schl students frm the Bstn area. One f them was Marina Miller. Marina Miller: “We ⑧__________in Nairbi. We gt a chance t meet with lcal musicians and listen t them play. ” 
Prject crdinatr Aarn Clversn says the Americans presented a ⑨___during a visit t Kakamega in western Kenya. Aarn Clversn: “We’ve gathered like 20 instruments. We had sme recrders and als an entire drum kit, lap tps and recrding sftware. ” Many Kenyans ⑩________the activities ffered by the grup.
