(1) Study in new words ① Match the new words. ② Read them aloud and remember them. (2) Look and say 1) Students look at the pictures at the PPT and study sentences by using ‘used to’ 2) Read the sentences.
Task on 1a 1) Students finish 1a 2) Read the words together and remember them. Task on listening 1) Students look at the pictures and make predictions about the listening. 2) Students read the sentences in 1b. 3) Listen to the tape and finish 1b. 4) Check the answers together. Task on 1c (pair work) 1)Students read the conversations in 1c. 2)Students make conversations in pair. 3)Ask two pairs of classmates to show their conversations. Task on 2a 1) Play the memory game. Ask students to remember the words as fast as they can. 2) Play the tape and finish 2a. 3) Check the answers. Task on 2b 1) Students read the chart and teacher explains the sentences to them. 2) Play the tape and finish 2b. 3) Check the answers. Task on 2c 1) Students read the conversations together. 2) Teacher makes an example conversation to Students. 3) Students use the information in 2b to make their own conversations. 4) Ask two students to show their conversations. Task on 2d 1) Read the conversations in 2d and complete the chart.
