Step1 lead Ss to talk about Jim’s friend Xinxin by answering some questions:1.What’s her name? 2.Is she Jim’s sister? 3.Where is she from? 4.How many people are there in her family? Who are they? 5.What is her favourite subject? 6.What is she good at? Ask Ss to talk about Xinxin’s brother Yangyang with the help of the personal information card.
Step2 Lead Ss to complete the short text about Xinxin and Yangyang.(Worksheet Ex. II)
Step3 Ask Ss to observe the sample sentences, and classify the words into pronouns and possessive adjectives.
Step4 Ask Ss to look at the table in Ex.5 and put the pronouns that are not on the worksheet into the correct group. Then ask Ss to check the answers in pairs, and then in class.
Step5 Ask Ss to answer the questions about Xinxin and Yangyang to lead to the numbers:How old are Xinxin and Yangyang? Ask Ss to write the missing numbers in Ex. 6.
Step6 Have Ss play a game: Say the players’ numbers as quickly as the can.
Step7 Ask Ss to listen to the dialogue and write the ages of the children. check the answers by asking Ss to say complete sentences
Step8 Ask Ss to work in pairs to make a dialogue to know their partner and his/her friend. Example: Hi! What’s your name? How old are you? What’s your favourite subject? Are you good at sports? About your partner’ s friend: Who is your friend? How old is he/she? What’s his/her favourite subject? Is he/she good at …?
Step9 Homework 1.练习口头表达数字,默写数字1-20; 2.完成介绍你自己和朋友的文 段。(Worksheet Ex. Ⅲ)
