    Since 1928, they have supplied shes fr Olympic athletes, Wrld Cup ftball heres, Muhammad Ali, hip hp stars and rck musicians famus all ver the wrld. But the stry f these tw cmpanies began in ne huse in the twn f Herzgenaurach, Germany.
    Adlf and Rudlf Dassler were the sns f a shemaker. They lved sprt but cmplained that they culd never find cmfrtable shes. S they started making their wn. In 1920. Adlf made the first pair f athletic shes with spikes (钉状物), prduced n the Dasslers' kitchen table.
    On 1st July 1924, they frmed a she cmpany, Dassler Brthers Ltd, and they wrked tgether fr many years. The cmpany became successful, but in 1948, the brthers argued. N ne knws exactly what happened. The result was that Adlf left the cmpany. His nickname was Adi, and using this and the first three letters f the family name, Dassler, he funded Adidas. Rudlf als funded and relcated his wn cmpany acrss the River Aurach. At first he wanted t call it Ruda, but finally he called it Puma.
    After the big split f 1948, Adlf and Rudlf never spke t each ther again and their cmpanies have nw been in cmpetitin fr ver sixty years.     Brn in Rheinfelden n June 29, 1963, Anner Sphie grew up in Wehr, a small twn just five kilmeters frm the Swiss brder.
