    Mdals
常用的情态动词包括can (culd), may (might), will (wuld), shall (shuld), must, need, dare, had better, ught t, used t等。
I will be able t speak Japanese in anther few mnths. They were able t escape frm the building when the fire brke ut.
【be able t 与can的辨析】 be able t表示“能力”时,和can的用法相似。但 也有区别:be able t有多种时态,如: was/were able t, will/ shall be able t, have/has been able t等, 而can只有两种时态,即can和culd。 She can sing the sng in English. He will be able t sing this sng in English in a few minutes, t.
Luckily, he was able t escape frm the big fire in the end. If he gt here a few hurs earlier, I culd save him. be able t的否定形式是在be后面直接加nt,即be nt able t,如: The kid is nt able t write. But we may nt be able t d this fr every scenari.
如:Hw dare yu say I’m unfair? Mther dare(d) nt tell father she'd given away his ld jacket.
    2. dare & need
如: a. I wnder hw he dares (t) say such things. b. He des nt dare (t) answer. 如:Yu needn’t cme s early.
如: Yu need t practice reading alud every day. needn't后接完成式可以表示过去做了一件本来不必要做的事情,如: ---Did yu answer the letter yesterday? ---Yes, I did. ---But yu needn't have answered it.
    注意对need问句的回答:--Need I finish the wrk tday?--Yes, yu must./ N, yu needn’t./ N, yu dn’t have t.needn’t 对其它情态动词的回答:--Shall I tell Jhn abut it?--N, yu needn’t/ dn’t have t.--Must we d it nw? --N, yu needn’t/ dn’t have t.
I must study hard. Yu have t hand in yur cmpsitins befre next Mnday.have t 的否定形式是dn’t have t, 相当于needn’t,如: They dn’t have t buy a cmputer at present. They had t speed up, fr the weather turned terrible. He has t stay at hme because f illness.
Yu’d better sit here and have a rest. b. She had better nt tell lies any mre. c. Hadn’t the dctr better see him?
    4. had better
When we talk abut the fd, gd table manners are much imprtant.
