I met Miss Clark about 45 years ago. She was my sister’s kindergarten(幼儿园)teacher. I remember looking into her classroom and I wished I was her student. My parents told me I could start school when I was 4. However, when I turned 4 next spring, I couldn’t understand why I had to wait until September. Anyway, I was finally in Miss Clark’s class-Room 3.
I was not good at math for a long time. People around me always laughed at me. “You aren’t a smart kid,” they said. I was quite self-abased(自卑的)and even thought they were right. “Math problems were what I couldn’t solve,” I always though.
After a math quiz, I cried again. However, what Miss Clark said really changed me. “If you say you are stupid, you’ll be worse and worse as you think. If you think you are clever, you’ll be better and better...” Later, I became confident and I made progress in math.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a teacher. When I graduated, I couldn’t wait to invite Miss Clark to my classroom. She arrived one day, and I saw joy on my students’ face singing the same songs I sang with her as a child. Over the years we have shared our ups and downs. I am here for her now because the date to sell her house is near. I bring up boxes from her basement(地下室). We look through every painting her students have given her, every thank-you note her students’ parents have written.
On the papers of the letters, I find my own name printed in green marker. Suddenly my mind goes back to Room 3. Over 40 years ago, Miss Clark sat on a chair while my classmates and I sat at her feet. We talk for hours. I listen carefully because I know I still have more to learn from her.
Excellent teachers never leave their students’ hearts. From then on, I know that an encouraging sentence can bring sunshine to a kid who is upset.

Do you dream to travel in space? Visiting space is still a far dream for anyone who isn’t an astronaut, but a one-day trip to the stars is already open for people to order!
A new company(公司), Space Perspective, is planning tests with passengers. It has big plans to run up to 500 flights from different places across the USA by 2024. If successful, reaching the space could be as easy as flying abroad in a few years’ time. The plan will be for spacemen and up to eight passengers to travel in Neptune, a capsule(太空舱)ties to a balloon which is as big as a football field.
They will move slowly to the side of space, 30 km away from the Earth. There, space tourists will be able to look back at the Earth. Although the price is yet to be fixed, the expensive flight, which will take six hours, will cost over £ 100,000. Because the capsule will remains in the Earth’s atmosphere(大气层), no special clothing or training is needed. It means that older people or those with health problems will be included.
One problem may be the method of landing back on the Earth. The balloon moves back down from space until it falls down in the sea. Passengers, spacemen, capsule and balloon are then gotten back by ship. The advantage of the balloon is that it will be cheaper than a space plane or a rocket.
Space travel may soon be a reality(现实), but how visitors get there is still a difficult problem.

In fact, a lot of language can still be learned best in more relaxing situations where students are having fun. Here are some suggestions.
★Communicate with strangers. If you live in an area filled with English speakers, get students out of the classroom. 46 Students may not speak to strangers, but they’ll hear conversations and may begin to understand how the words learned in the classroom are actually used in everyday life.
★Let their guard(警惕)down. One difficult thing for leaners is that they don’t have confidence. Fun activities, especially those outside of the classroom, give students a chance to feel relaxed. 47 It may take a bit of time in the beginning, but once students get into it, they’ll start to get confidence.
★Make use of English media(媒体). Most recorded language instruction is pretty boring. 48 They will hear common expressions and more everyday conversations in the movie. If they’re not sure about anything they hear, you can turn it into a new lesson in the classroom.
★ 49 Casual(随意的)conversations give learners the chance to hear or use English in situations. In different situations, they can talk about their favorite films, super stars and any successful or famous person freely. They will show interest in learning English if they use English to describe anything they like. 50 Everyone can master new knowledge or skills better if he has fun in learning.
根据短文内容,将下面方框内的句子还原到文中空白处,使短文内容完整、通顺(每个选项只能用一次)。
