教学目标： At the end of the class, the students will be able to: 1. learn the past simple tense. 2. learn to talk about past events. 3. learn to enjoy different kinds of activities, to enjoy life.
教学重点： 1. Key vocabulary: stayed at home, went to summer camp, visited museums... 2. Key sentences: Where did Tina go on vacation? She went to the mountains.
教学难点： The usage of the past simple tense.

Step 1 Warming-up (PPT 3-14)		Show the pictures and make Ss read the chant. Guide Ss to brainstorm the vacation activities. Ask Ss to have a free talk about the vacations. Where did you go on vacation? Who did you go with? Did you have a good time? Show the pictures and make Ss work in pairs to make conversations. Then present in class.				通过chant导入，在轻松的氛围中总结各种假期活动，然后讨论活动的地点，活动的人，以及玩得怎么样。通过讨论为本课的学习掀开了序幕,使学生了解本节课的新话题。
Step 2 Presentation (PPT 15)		Work on 1a. 1.Ask Ss to look at the pictures and try to say something about them.Read the activities. 2.Match the activities with the pictures in 1a. 3. Check answers in class .				通过课件出示的1a图片，通过对图片的判断连接活动短语。为听力提供材料支持。
Step 3 Listening (PPT 16)		Work on 1b. 1. Play the tape for Ss to listen to 1b. 2. Listen and number the people in the picture. 3. Check answers in class . 4. Describe what the people did according to 1b.				播放听力一遍后，完成1b. 利用该句型谈论他们假期做的事情。提高学生的听力水平，为2a和2b的听力打好基础。
Step 4 Practice (PPT 17-22)		Work on 1c. 1.Make conversations about the people in the picture. A: Where did ... go on vacation? B: She/He went to the mountains. 2. Ask two students to practice the sentences and talk about their vacations.				听力之后，用1c的句型练习表达1b的这些人在假期的活动。熟练这个单元基本句型。
Step 5 Summary (PPT 23)		Ask Ss to summarize the past form of the verb.				要求学生自己总结本节课所学的动词的过去式, 以便于记忆。
Step 6 Language points (PPT 24-31)		Explain the other usages of Where did...?. 2. Explain the words: visit,family.				讲解本课时的语言点以及句型。
