教学目标: At the end of the class, the students will be able to: 1. understand the passage by finishing the reading tasks and learning the words and expressions. 2. make and reply to an invitation with the language they learn. 3. get along with others more politely and do one’s own obligations better. | |||||||
教学重点: 1. Key vocabulary: invitation, reply, forward, delete, print, sad, goodbye, glad, preparation, glue, without, surprised... turn down, help out, be glad to do, see sb. do, the best way to do, bring…to…, have a good idea about, take a trip to, at the end of this month, look forward to doing, hear from... 2. Key sentences: a. What a great idea!! b. This party is the best way to say “Thank you and goodbye.” c. As I’m sure you know by now, our favorite teacher, Ms. Steen, is leaving soon to go back to the US. d. To show how much we’re going to miss her, let’s have a surprise party for her next Friday the 28th! | |||||||

Ask Ss to put a mark in the contents that are unfamiliar to them.5 minutes later, ask a student to answer the question:Why did the people write them?Then lead Ss to read the message. Explain the new words during the procedure. Pay attention to the key words and phrases. Ss match the reason with each message.
