Step 1 Grammar Focus: 1 Lead-in: Greeting and checking the homework: Have you finished your homework? Did you have any difficulties or problems?
2 Study and discuss the following key sentences in this part: Miss Wang wants you to go to her office. Help me (to) move the tree a little bit. Ms Holt helped me (to) do it. First she asked me to cut open a pumpkin with a knife and clean out the inside. Then she had me use a pencil to draw a ghost face on the pumpkin. Step 2. Matching practice. Ask the students to match the beginnings with the endings. Ask the students to conclude the usages of the infinitive, then ask them to complete the exercise and check the answers in class. Step 3 : Work in pairs 1 .Ask the students to read the beginning of the sentences and think of an ending for each one. Task: How many different sentences can you make?
Step 4 : Homework Write a passage to introduce an interesting festival. | The students greet the teacher and check the homework. Then study and learn the key sentences in this part. If necessary, they can work in groups.
