一、教学目标

本部分通过图画供了秋季和冬季的情景,辅助学生理解语篇内容学习有关秋天的特点和活动的英语表达。
主要目标语言:
Autumn is the third season of the year.
Autumn begins around September.
The weather gets cooler and cooler.
The days get shorter and shorter.
Autumn is the golden season.
Winter is the fourth and last season.
Winter begins around December.
Winter is the white season.

二、课前准备
1. 准备本课视频、音频文件和教学挂图。
2. 准备三套句子卡片,将本课的句子写在卡片上,每一张卡片上写一句。
3. 准备教学课件PPT。
三、教学步骤与建议
1. 热身/复习(Warm-up / Revision)
1) 播放歌曲Winter,师生一起欣赏并学唱。
2) 值日生带领同学们通过问答复习上一课的内容。
3) 对上一课的拓展活动进行总结,让学生展示自己所搜集的异国春夏季情况。鼓励学生以多种形式去展示资料成果,学生不会表达的语言,可以用中文来说。
2. 新课呈现(Presentation) .
1) 教师结合上一环节中学生的介绍,利用南北半球差异所造成的同一季节不同气候情况,提示学生:When it is spring in China, New Zealand is AUTUMN. We have learnt the first and second season. Today we are going to learn the third and the fourth season.
2) 教师在黑板上画简图,分别介绍9月、10月、11月和12月的气温。借助曲线形象,帮助学生理解The weather is cooler and cooler的意思。
3) 播放全课录音,让学生仔细听。解答学生的问题,然后再放录音,让学生跟读模仿。
3. 趣味操练(Practise)
1) 把学生分成四人一组,教师把打乱顺序的句子卡片分给学生,让学生不看课本,根据自己的理解和记忆给句子排序并读出,小组同学一起核对。
2) 继续小组活动,把spring, summer, autumn, winter分别写在四张小卡片上,反扣在桌子中央,四个人轮流从四张卡片中抽出一张,猜猜是哪个季节。猜对后再说一个与这个季节有关的句子。例如猜到了秋季,可以说The leaves are yellow and brown. The farmers are busy harvesting. They are picking apples. It gets cooler and cooler. Autumn begins around September.等等。一个学生猜完后,要把卡片重新排序,然后再让下一个学生接着猜。最后根据得分评出小组的“季节冠军”。教师发给小奖品。
4. 语言运用(Language use)
情景设置:
将本单元的季节与月份内容相联系,让学生以组为单位,进行资料的搜集和整理,选择一个季节进行综合介绍。

Autumn is the third season. In China, autumn begins around September. It is from September to November. The weather gets cooler and cooler, and the days get shorter and shorter. It is a golden season. The leaves on the trees are yellow and brown. There are many festivals in autumn. They are Teachers’ Day, National Day and Thanksgiving Day. I like autumn, because it is the season of harvesting. The farmers plant seeds in spring, and harvest in autumn.

6. 拓展活动(Extended activities)
1)上网或查阅图书搜集资料,看一看别的国家的秋冬季都是什么样的,是否每个国家都有明显的季节差别,用英语向同学介绍。
2) 将自己的气温统计和季节联想作品带给家人看,用英语给他们讲解,让他们给予评价。
