Step 1 . Lead-in
The teacher presents tw tngue twisters and asks the Ss t fllw.

Mr. Keep says t the keeper , “Lk after the tiger. It’s very clever. ”
Ask Ss t read ut the tngue twisters and underline the letter grups that have the vwels: [i:]、
[u:]、[u]、[ə:]、[ə]
[i:] : keep keeper
[u] : ck lk bk gd
[ə] : tiger clever after keeper
Present the letter grups and their prnunciatin, three vwels: [ɔ:] 、[ɑ:]、[e]
Gd weather, bring star .
Father Hrn is in his car.
Shakes head, plays the guitar.
With Dg Ball ges far.
Step 2 . Learning
Read the vwels and summarize the prnunciatin rules f the letter grups.
Listen t the tape and read after the tape
Lk at the big tree in Part A, and try t put the wrds in the crrect place accrding t their sunds.

Read the phrases in Part C.
