    Having lived in Califrnia until 1970, my family has felt a number f earthquakes. We have been frtunate, hwever, t have suffered n bdily harm r prperty (财产) damage.
    There is a website that lists all Califrnia earthquakes recrded frm 1769 t the present. The site lists the dates and times as well as the magnitude (震级) and the exact lcatin f any quake that measured mre than 6.0. There are nly a few quakes that stand ut in my memry and, luckily, nne is shwn in the website. S, my persnal experience with earthquakes might be cnsidered insignificant (微不足道).
    There are three earthquakes that are difficult t frget. The first ne was in 1955 and ur ldest daughter was walking with me in ur backyard in Redwd City in Califrnia. As the shaking became strnger I held her t me with ne arm as I held n t ne f ur fruit trees with the ther. All three f us (my daughter, I and the tree) shk fr tw r three minutes that t us felt like hurs.

    If yu dn’t have enugh mney, yu can chse t stay in hstels (招待所), which are by far the cheapest way in mst f Eurpe. And yu can als take a sleeping bag with yu, which will make yu have a better sleep, if yu have rm in yur pack and yu dn’t mind the extra weight.
