    Recently,our class held a heated discussion about whether parents should be classified as close friends.Students' opinions are divided.
    Some students think highly of it.They think that it is of great benefit to promote the understanding between parents and children,thus contributing to build up a close relationship among family members.But others hold the opposite viewpoint.They are concerned that owing to the generation gap,there must be disagreement about some issues,which will bring about misunderstandings.
    Personally,I am in favour of it.Only by communicating and interacting with our parents can we let them know what is happening in our lives so that they can offer timely suggestions and guidance to us.

      “Who owns the money?” I asked.“Is it all right for you to take money from the bag?”
      “Yes,” he smiled.“This money belongs to every one of us in the family.When we children earn money,we put it into the bag.Father puts in the most.Then when we need money,we can take it from the bag.The money bag is Mother's idea.She thinks it will teach us to spend money carefully and to know its real value.”
      “Doesn't anyone know how much you take?” I asked.
      “Oh,no,” said Mike.“Mother says we must trust each other.”
      “But couldn't you take out more than you need for the bus?” I asked.
      “I could,”answered Mike.“But then there might not be enough money for Jane and Fred.Someone in our family is always needing something.If I take more than I need,there won't be enough to go around.”

      As we were waiting for the bus,I kept thinking how lucky Mike was.He had a happy family in which the family members got on so well,trusting each other,and caring for each other.Moreover,he had a great mother.Her idea of the money bag not only taught the children the real value of money,but also the true meaning of it.Most importantly,it taught them how to be a person of good character.That day,I also learnt a lot from the money bag.
