A new study published Mnday in an American Heart Assciatin jurnal Hypertensin, examined 360,000 participants wh prvided bld, urine and saliva(唾液) samples, as well as detailed infrmatin abut their lifestyles. Researchers fund that adults wh napped ften were mre likely t develp high bld pressure and have a strke.
24.A。 根据第一段的“We had her tested. l decided t get myself tested as well, and fund that the trubles she was having were exactly what I had had—dyslexia.” 故选A。
25.D。 根据第二段的“If I had knwn earlier that smething beynd my cntrl culd explain why l was a lw achiever,l may nt have wrked s hard in my late 20s and early 30s.(如果我早些时候知道一些超出我控制范围的事情可以解释为什么我是一个学渣,我可能在20多岁和30多岁的时候没有这么努力。)”
根据第四段的“Mst peple wh g thrugh cllege read twice as fast as I d.(大多数读大学的人读得比我快两倍。)”
Despite my weaknesses I view dyslexia as a gift,nt a curse(诅咒). Many dyslexics are gd at right-brain,abstract thught, and that's what my kind f creative writing is. And I can write quickly, and can get up t 15 pages a day.
通过第一段“But that desn't mean the napping causes these health issues—instead, napping may be due t unhealthy behavirs. The researchers fund that a high percentage f frequent
29.A。 30.B。根据最后一段中的“Early afternn is a gd time t nap,as this agrees with a physical circle dip in energy(午后不久是午睡的好时机,因为这与昼夜节律的能量下降是一致的)”可判断early afternn是白天时能量下降的低点,所以选B。
31.B。根据倒数第二段中的“But Blattner assures that taking naps can als be beneficial."

33.D。根据第五段中的“Hwever,Murray cautins that hair mats are nt a perfect slutin, because they are single-use”得知, hair mats因为它是一次性的,所以并不是一个完美的解决方式。
34.C。根据第五段中的“She is nw researching methds t extract the il frm a used hair mat, meaning bth can be reused.”

Sme students have written emails t me and asked why they didn't make much prgress in listening.
Here are sme reasns I'm ging t talk abut in tday's class. (18)
Lack f English vcabulary is prbably the number ne reasn why yu can't fully understand what yu hear. If there are a great number f unfamiliar wrds,it may be hard fr yu t understand the given message. Anther case is the fact that yu knw the wrds, yet can 't tell their meanings while listening. That usually happens because yu learn new wrds by yur eyes,nt yur ears. Yu have learned the wrds nly in their written frms but have missed the“sund”frms. Besides, smetimes yu knw the wrds, but it happens that yu dn't hear them very ften,s yu fail t recgnize the wrds immediately.
English learners tend t think that in rder t understand the whle listening, they have t knw the meaning f every single wrd. This is a wrng idea almst everybdy has. If yu try t understand every single wrd while listening,yu'll tend t stp fr a while t think. Therefre, skip the wrds yu dn't knw r they will affect the whle listening prcess. (20) Next, let's talk abut sme listening prgrams n 97.5FM. It will help yu practice yur listening.
