As a “majr” at university, philsphy may nt be s ppular nwadays, fr it seems t be t abstract, remte and impractical, unlike subjects such as cmputing, finance, accunting and s n.

Special attentin is paid t strict reflectin during every stage f thinking and this prcess itself is included as part f its study, s as t frm a pattern f clear critical thinking. Third, philsphy can als shape ne’s character. Difficult thinking, reasning and summarizing result in peple becming firmer and mre persistent in a deep sense. Since philsphy is finally abut living, it leads t an appreciatin f meaningful life thrugh perfecting persnality.
In a sense, philsphy is in fact widely applicable and has been studied and acquired by experts f natural and scial sciences and many philsphers, bth at hme and abrad, wh have becme celebrities either in their specialist fields f study r in their switched prfessins as generalists.
Therefre, philsphy is nt abstract, nr remte, but f prfund use.
Hw is the secnd paragraph mainly develped?
By classificatin.
By time.
By definitin.
By cmparisn.
Which is NOT ne f the relatins between man and the wrld?
A. t understand nature.B. t understand humans.
C. t understand lgic.D. t understand sciety.
What benefit can peple get frm learning philsphy?
Peple can becme fully aware f the standing place n the earth.
Peple can becme firmer and seldm change their ideas.
Peple will have a simple understanding f the life thrugh appreciatin.
Peple will frm an pinin after viewing a matter frm different aspects.
Whatcan be learned abut philsphy?
It is remte frm peple’s life and has n prfund use.
It is filled with wisdm and was established by supernatural gds.
It is widely btained and used by many natural and scial experts.

Attentin, listeners. I have sme breaking news t reprt. A large earthquake hit nrthern Califrnia at 10:00 a.m. tday. Earthquakes are cmmn in Califrnia, but this is the wrst that we’ve seen in twenty years. Emergency rescue teams are n the scene nw. Thankfully, n peple gt injured. The center f the earthquake was in the middle f wine cuntry. There aren’t many peple ut there — just fields f grapes. (18) Hwever, there was huge damage t buildings within a fifty-mile area. (19) We are getting reprts f $100,000 in damages t buildings and fields. Thse are sme expensive wine peratins. There are still a few small quakes happening in the last few hurs since nn, but they d nt present any real danger. I wuld still suggest staying utside f buildings fr nw until we knw the quaking is ver. If yu knw anyne that lives in the area that was damaged, yu shuld try t cntact them t see if they’re kay. (20) We will keep yu updated later tnight n any further develpments cncerning the situatin.
