Step 1: Greeting
T: What’s the video about?

Step 5: Talk about your favorite place to visit.

S1: If I have a chance to visit the US. I will visit California. The best time to visit is all year round. The weather is fine all year round. I will bring swimming clothes, because I can swim in the sea.
S2: If I have a chance to visit the US. I will visit Seattle. There is not cold but it rains a lot. I will bring an umbrella. I like cold weather.
Step 6: Work in groups (Give advice to Betty).
Students work in groups. Four students a group. Student one introduces beginning and ending. Student two introduces one place. Student three introduces one place. Student four introduces one place. Then combine their writings to report.
T: Betty's parents are going to China. She wants to take them to visit some cities in China. Can you give her some advice?

教学反思
首先要感谢我们十五中的教研组长胡巧云老师,八年级备课组长叶冬初老师,陈丽智老师,还有很多其他学校及本校老师的帮助与指点。因为有你们的帮助和指点,才能有这节课的精彩设计。这节课是大家集体智慧的结晶。教学设计非常的精彩。
对于自身课堂教学的思考有以下几点:第一,对于学生的学情和课堂的预设不够,没有深入分析学生的实际情况和课堂中所会出现的问题,或者学生知识输出过程中出现的新词,应该马上进行处理。在课堂教学中学生说出赤道。我应该将新词做出说明,英语读音是什么?Equator。及时增加学生的词汇量。并对学生进行评价。第二,对学生的把控太严,学生的输出量不够,就进入下一环节。由于自己限于教学设计太深,有种思想就是要将学生控制在自己的可控范围之内,所以没有将学生的思维真正的发散出来,学生的思想没有得到发展和展现。第三,时间的把握分配没有做好规划,对于整堂课,我没有做好全面的规划,其实要抓住课堂的轻重环节,再将时间进行调配。重要的环节我就要花多点时间,让学生将他们的思想进行多方面的呈现。如果从整堂课考虑,如果环节太多,明知道一节课上不完的,就要大胆砍掉不必要的环节,抓住有必要的环节,并有时间对学生进行思维的培养,思想的发散,这样的课堂才会精彩。如果胡子眉毛一把抓就没有重点可言。每个环节就是走个过场,没有多余时间让他们进行思考,就不可取。在第三个环节细节题中,有一个发散性的问题,问:When is the best time to visit the US? Any time you like.为什么是any time you like呢?这个问题也可以让学生们进行大量的想法输出。在第四个环节中问:作者为什么用这样的顺序介绍这些地址?这是一个深入的问题,我也没有让学生进行精彩的呈现,就结束了这一环节。有些不足。对于最后的环节:给Betty提出一些建议,到哪些城市旅游?该带什么?天气怎样?由于时间关系,也只能呈现一组,而且还是拖堂。所以对于课堂的时间把握还要注意。第四,板书设计太过随意。板书设计是对整堂课重要知识点的呈现,是非常重要的。我就随意的写了几个单词because, so, but。所以在以后的课堂设计中我也要注重板书的设计。第五,对于阅读教材的处理还要多思考,阅读课的教学应该抓住的重点是什么,阅读课要注重培养学生思维的品质,让学生们能进行深入的思考,思想的输出。而不仅仅是教授知识。更多的是教会学生阅读的技能,方法,策略。以及对学生思维的提升。阅读课教会的是学生的阅读能力,并能在离开教师的指导后,也能具备阅读的能力,思考的能力,解决问题的能力。
针对自身所存在的不足,我要多专研教材,教师用书,教学大纲,多向学校优秀的前辈和老师学习。在今后的教学中我要不断反思,不断探讨,不断专研新的问题。学习之路漫长,但我有一颗学习之心,进取之心,永不放弃之心。我希望自己在学习之路上不断前行。希望学校的各位同仁能多多指出我的不足。
