Step1 Lead-in

Show the students a short video about Olympic Games and Paralympic Games. Ss talk about something they see in video and learn about the two games.

Step2 Summarize the structure of the past simple passive voice

Let Ss translate the two sentences and summarize the structure of the Past Simple Passive Voice.

Step 3 Consolidate

Do some exercises. Finish Activity 1,2,5. Check the answers in pairs.

Step 4 Listening

Have Ss listen and check the true sentences （Activity 6）.

Listen and choose the correct answer（Activity 7）.

Step 5 Reading

Have Ss read and put the sentences in the correct order to make a conversation （Activity 8）.

Have the Ss read the conversation in pairs.

Step 6 Around the world

Have Ss read the Paralympic Games and try to learn more,

Step 7 Practise

Show some information about Dorando Pietri. Have the Ss look at the pictures and tell story with the help of the words and expressions in pairs（Activity 3）.

    Step 8 Module task——Survey

    Have Ss work in groups and do a survey about the sports.
