    ◆What引导感叹句。感叹句是用来表达说话者说话时的惊异、喜悦、愤怒、气愤等思想感情的句子。其结构常由感叹词“What(Hw)+感叹的部分+主语+谓语!”构成。感叹句的结构:
    (1)由感叹词what引导的感叹句。
    what修饰名词或名词短语,有以下两种形式:What+a(an)+(形容词)+单数可数名词+主语+谓语!What an apple this is!What+(形容词)+可数名词复数或不可数名词+主语+谓语!What kind wmen they are!
    (2)由Hw引导的感叹句。 hw用来修饰形容词、副词或动词。其结构是:Hw+形容词(副词)+主语+谓语! 注意:当hw修饰动词时,动词不跟着感叹词提到主语之前。(3)what与hw引导的感叹句,一般情况下可以相互转换,转换后意义不变。 What an interesting stry it is!=Hw interesting the stry is!(4)在口语中,感叹句的主语和谓语常常省略。 Hw disappinted!

    If the latter是If it is the latter 的省略形式。一些状语从句如时间状语从句、条件状语从句、让步状语从句、比较状语从句等中存在的省略问题,可以归纳为以下两点:
    (1)when,while,if,as if,althugh/thugh,as,until,nce,whether,unless, where等引导的从句中,如果其谓语为be,而主语与主句的主语相同时,则从句 的主语和be可省略。有时从句的主语为it时,也可省略it或从句中的有关成 分。如:
    If (it is) pssible,this machine can be fixed at nce.可能的话,这台机器会立即修好。
    (2)than,as,n matter what/wh等后面成分的省略。如: We d nt use mre materials than (it is) necessary. 我们不用过多的材料。
