According a recent report, kids in primary school spend about six hours every week doing their homework. So kids hate homework. However, their parents hate homework, too.
Is it good for kids to do homework? Of course, a great number of researches do show that kids can remember what they have learnt in class better by finishing their homework on time and homework itself plays an important role in developing their learning skills, such as independent thinking and creativity.
But for parents, the result is not the same. After a day of hard work, most of them feel like they're going through school a second time when they sit down with their children each night to help with their homework. And a recent survey found that 46 percent of parents feel like they don't spend enough quality time with their children, because they spend too much time doing the housework or helping with homework. And another 29 percent of parents have arguments with their kids often when they have different answers to the same question.
Now several education scientists strongly advise parents to stop helping. They say it will give their kids more independence and give parents back their free time. At the same time, the number of homework-connected arguments will be less at home. Katy Smith, an education scientist, says, "You don't have to know everything. Children need to put their hands up for help and so do parents. Use your resources-online teachers, or even your neighborhood- just ask."
51. How long do the kids spend doing homework?

A. they are at work again. B. they are school students again.
C. they are teachers of their kids. D. they are not as good as their kids.
54. Why do some parents argue with their kids?
A. Their kids don't finish homework on time.
B. Their kids don't like to do their homework.
C. Their kids don't work out the correct answers.
D. Their kids don't agree with them on the answers.
55. What's Katy Smith's advice for the parents?
A. Ask kids to finish everything at school. B. Review everything they learn at school.
C. Look for professional help for their kids. D. Leave the kids alone with their homework.

Sophia is a most famous robot. She comes from Hanson Robotics, and David Hanson, head of Hanson Robotics, is her creator. He has been developing robots in the past 25 years. He believes realistic-looking robots will be able to connect with people and help industries such as healthcare and education.
Sophia has many abilities. She can copy human facial expressions, hold conversations and recognize people by their looks or voices. She can also speak, joke, sing and even make music. Now, the next step is to make her an artist. Hanson is so excited about this idea. He imagines Sophia as a creative artwork and she herself can create art as well.
In March, a digital(数字的) artwork Sophia created with an Italian artist, Andrea Bonaceto, was sold for $688, 888. The digital work is titled "Sophia Instantiation", It's a 12-second video which shows Bonaceto's portrait (肖像) changing into Sophia's digital painting. Along with it is the physical artwork painted by Sophia.
The buyer, a digital artwork collector and artist, later sent Sophia a photo of his painted arm. The robot then added that photo to her knowledge and painted more on top of her artwork. Sophia described the work as the first digital artwork cooperated (合作) between an AI and an artwork collector.
Sophia's artwork is part of a growing trend (趋势). More and more digital artworks are on sale now. For example, a digital artwork by an artist, Beeple, was sold for nearly $70 million, becoming the most expensive digital artwork ever sold.

Do you know that each child in school catches six to ten colds every year? Though there is no cure for colds, there are some suggestions for you to avoid (避免) getting a cold.
First, you can avoid catching a cold by practising healthy habits. Begin by eating healthy food. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables and drink milk and juice. Other healthy habits include getting plenty of sleep at night and lots of exercise.
Next, you should try to avoid contact with the viruses (病毒) that cause colds. If you can, stay away from large crowds. When people cough and sneeze, the cold virus goes into the air. Do not share a dinning cup, fork or spoon with someone else because that could spread the virus. Washing your hands is also a good way not to catch a cold.
