设计说明 本单元通过给学生展示一些校园生活的图片,导入本课时所学内容。通过让学生完成速读、细读、读后的各项任务,帮助学生理清文章思路,掌握文章要点,辨别事实与观点。通过设置写作练习,让学生学会运用所学语言来描写自己的学校生活,从而达到学以致用的目的。通过知识点讲解,给学生解疑答惑,帮助学生掌握所学语言点;通过课堂达标训练,检测学生本单元的掌握情况。 教学目标 通过本单元的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标 (1)掌握本单元新单词及短语:pass, secondary school, absent, bell (2)掌握重点句子: ①We go to school every weekday from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm. ②Before class, our teacher checks which pupils are present or absent. ③In the afternoon, we have two more lessons before school finishes. ④We have a large sports ground for football and tennis, where we can play both during and after school hours. 2. 能力目标 (1) 能读懂有关学校生活的短文; (2) 能运用所学语言介绍自己的学校生活。 3. 情感目标 通过本单元的学习,了解其他国家的教育制度以及学生的学校生活,教育学生热爱自己的学校生活,珍视身边的友情。 重点难点 重点:本单元的重点单词、短语、句型 难点:能向他人介绍自己的学校生活 教学准备 PPT课件;活动2的录音;有关学校生活的图片 授课时数 2课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in 1. Show some photos about the school life. Ask the students to talk about the questions.

In the afternoon, we have two more lessons before school finishes. 下午,在放学前,我们还有两节课。 more与数词连用修饰可数名词时,要置于数词之后,即“数词 + more +可数名词”,相当于“another + 数词 + 可数名词”,意为“再……,又……”。 Would you please wait for me ten more minutes?= Would you please wait for me another ten minutes? 你能再等我10分钟吗? 5. Some people learn German instead of French. 一些人学习德语而不是法语。 instead of 代替……,(是……)而不是…… instead of为短语介词,后面常跟名词、代词或动词-ing形式。 Will you go to the party instead of me? 你替我赴宴好吗? Shall we have fish instead of beef today? 今天我们不吃牛肉,吃鱼好吗? 【拓展】 instead作副词,单独使用,常置于句末。 It will take few days by car, so let’s fly instead. 坐汽车要花费好几天, 所以我们还是乘飞机吧。 【注意】含instead的句子可以与instead of进行同义句转换。 She never studies. Instead, she plays tennis all day. =Instead of studying, she plays tennis all day. 她整天打网球, 而不是学习。 He didn’t give John the money, but he gave it to me instead. = Instead of giving John the money, he gave it to me. 他没有给约翰钱, 而是把钱给了我。 6. It’s lucky we don’t have exams in every subject. 幸运的是,我们不用每门课程都考试。 have/take an exam/exams in意为“……方面的考试”。 I went to take an exam in math. 我去参加数学考试了。 7. Once a term, there is a parents’ meeting…我们每学期召开一次家长会…… once表示“一次, 一回”。 She visits her parents once a week.她一周去看望父母一次。 【拓展】twice意为“两次”。 My mother plays sports twice a week. 我妈妈一周做两次运动。 Step 4 Writing 1. Learning to learn When you write a composition, remember: Write about what you know best. This usually means your family, friends, school and yourself. Use something you have read as a model. So My school life can be a model for your writing. Use ideas and sentences from the model and change the details. This will help you decide what to write and how to write it. 2. Finish Activity 5. Make a timetable for your schoolday.
3. Finish Activity 6. Make a list of other events and activities during your school year. On the board, write the headings “Sports” “Hobbies” “Outings” and “Other events”. Ask the students to work together in groups to copy the list and add activities under the headings. They can get ideas from the passage and from their own experience. 4. Finish Activity 7. Write a passage about your school life. Use the timetable in Activity 5 and the list you made in Activity 6 to help you. Say: when you go to school how you get there how long you have been at this school what your daily timetable is what subjects you are taking this term what other events and activities there are during your school year what you like best about school ﹡Tell the students to use Susie Thompson’s passage on page 12 as a model. ﹡In pairs, have students read their timetables from Activity 5 and notes from Activity 6 and use them to make an outline of paragraph headings. Then, have them work individually and write their passages. ﹡When they have written their first drafts, tell them to show their writing to their desk partner. Ask the desk partner to make corrections and any suggestions for improvement. ﹡Have the students finish their second drafts according to their desk partner’s suggestions. ﹡Ask some students to read their passages in front of the class. Possible answer: My name is Zhang Lin and I’m a pupil at No. 1 Junior High School in Taiyuan. I’ve been here for three years. Every morning I go to school at 7:00 am by bike. Before class, we have a morning talk for half an hour. Everyone can introduce something he/ she likes to other students, such as a poem, a short story, a popular song, and a famous person.
