A new app has been used in South Africa to benefit the relationship between wildlife and humans. Road watch, created by the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT), is designed to let drivers record any roadkill(路杀动物)they see on the roads.
It may seem like a strange idea, but EWT says that it could become the perfect app for receiving important information. Information on where endangered species(物种)are living and the danger that they suffer from traffic can help to make decisions on conservation of matter(物质守恒) in the future.
People can use the app to report the species, place ,time and date of the animals that have been seen on the road.
Wendy Collinson, field officer at EWT, suggested that it could lead more people to pay more attention to animals that may be trying to cross the roads. One of the biggest problems is with reptiles(爬行动物)and snakes, which she believes people hit on purpose, as they are generally seen as scary. However, they are as important as all other animals and also need to be protected.
Emily Taylor from EWT said,“ Roadkill simply hasn't been studied here. We need to know more about how many endangered species are being killed. We want people to report as much as possible.”
There have been some other apps to use in relation to where the wildlife are in South Africa, but most of them are about animals that have not been knocked down, including those helping to collect information of where certain species have been, such as in parks.

To: Amy
From: Daniel
Hi, Amy! Teenagers love music like nobody else, and they love to argue about it. Someone at my school had a shirt that said,“ I hate your favorite band. ” You asked if you can express your opinion. I say YES! But if you want her to respect your opinion, you should do some research. Try to understand her point of view.
You asked how to talk to others with different opinions. Once you have done some research express your point of view. After you've discussed things, try to find common ground.
Believe it or not, rock and classical music share many characteristics(特点). Rock music can be exciting and
impressive(令人惊叹的),just like classical music. On the other hand, many of the most respected classical com-
posers(作曲家)wrote simple and catchy melodies(朗朗上口的旋律).Think of Beethoven’s piano works, for
example.
Instead of just expressing your opinion, learn more about music. Famous rock bands like the Beatles have recorded songs with wind and string orchestras(管弦乐队). These songs might help you understand the power of classical instruments.
You could share these songs, and then ask her for classical music that is energetic and has a good melody.

Dear Nathan,
I'm glad to have this chance to discuss the topic with you. With more and more cars on the road, there is a heavy traffic on the way to school.
Riding bikes seems a good choice for us. It is faster and more convenient, so we will seldom be late for school. It's especially good for us to keep fit. Besides, riding doesn't cause air pollution and can save energy.
But it is still dangerous and our parents may be worried about our safety. And we might be tired if we always do this. It will also bring some trouble if we ride on rainy days.
I think it's good to ride bikes. But we must obey the traffic rules. At the same time, we should always remember safety comes first.
Yours,
