    Period 3 Section B 1a-1d设计说明  播放不同风格的歌曲片段导入本课的学习。歌曲和歌星是学生喜欢的话题,使用本课时的目标语言由这个话题展开,不仅能激发学生的好奇心与参与热情,为下面的听说做好铺垫,而且还能引导教育学生如何正确地享受音乐,不可盲目追星。活动1b-1c主要让学生通过听获取细节信息。在听力活动的过程中,要把培养学生记录关键信息的教学策略融入完成任务的过程中。然后是基于听力活动基础上的语言输出,通过大量地练习,进一步巩固有关音乐话题的讨论。活动1d可留作作业,下节课时汇报调查结果。教学目标  1. 知识目标  (1)掌握单词:poprockband  2掌握句型:①Have you heard of them yet? But  they’ve already made two CDs. The Toms must be popular.  The Toms’ music sounds more like rock. Listening to The Toms is a good way to wake up.   2. 能力目标  (1)会用英语谈论自己的音乐喜好及原因。  (2)学会边听录音边记录关键信息。  3. 情感目标  了解音乐类型,培养音乐素养。重点难点  1. 重点:  (1)使用目标语言谈论最近听过的音乐。  (2)用英语谈论自己的音乐喜好及原因。  2. 难点:  用英语谈论自己的音乐喜好及原因。教学准备  多媒体课件,录音机,磁带。教学过程  Step 1 Revision and Leading in  1. Translate the following phrases into Chinese or English.   arrive on this island 到达这个岛  make a boat 造一艘船  带回来 bring back  放弃 give up  wait for 等待  cut down 砍倒  跑向 run towards  2. Play different kinds of musicand then ask students  Have you heard of the music/song?   What kind of music is it?   How does it make you feel?   Who sang it?   Do you like him/her/the band...?   Who’s your favorite singer or musician?   Why do you like his/her/their music?   While talkingteach the new wordspoprockband.   Step 2 Listening  1. Work on 1b.   1Before playing the recordingexplain to students that the conversation is between Alex and Daveand it will be about a music group called The Toms.   2Ask students to read through the information that they are supposed to listen for in the conversation. Make sure students understand the meaning of each sentence. This will help them be more focused on what they are listening for.   3Play the recording. Students listen and write A for Alex and D for Dave next to each opinion.   4Check the answers.   Answers:(自上而下DDAD  2. Work on 1c.   1Ask students to fill in their answers based on what they remember.   2Play the recording again and ask students to fill in their answers again.   3Check the answers. Have students compare their first answers with their second ones. It is likely that those who had been taking notes in the whole conversation from the first time the recording was playedwill be far better than those who were just listening to pick out information. Complete the passage according to the conversation between Alex and Dave.   Alex is listening to music. Dave thinks the song sounds really good. Alex tells him that the band is calledThe Toms. He feels excited when he listens to it.   Step 4 Give a reportWork on 1d  1. List some kinds of musicand then ask and answer like this  AWhat kind of music do you like?   BI like country music.   AWhy do you like it?   BBecause it is so gentle and relaxing. And it makes me feel relaxed.   2. Report.   Get the students to ask their friends what kind of music they listen to and why. How does the music make them feel?   TI know some of you like readingsome like listening to musicsome like watching movies. So which booksong or movie do you think is the best one?   Ss... Step 5 Cooperative inquiry  Discuss the following language points in groups and fill in the blanks.   1. Have you heard of them yet? 你听说过他们吗?hear意为“听见What were you doing when you heard the event?当你听到那件事时你在做什么?hear from意为“收到”,后跟sb. Have you heard from Tom?你收到汤姆的来信了吗?hear of/about意为“听说”,后跟sth./sb. Have you heard of/about the Great Wall? 你听说过长城吗?  2. The Toms must be popular. 汤姆乐队一定很受欢迎。  此句中情态动词must的意思是“一定”,表示推测,暗含可能性很大。  Where is your father?    你爸爸在哪里  I think he must be in his office.    我想他一定在他的办公室里。  3.
