注意(1)用于连接两个表示并列关系的成分,着重强调后者,其中also有时可以省略.

例句He not only writes his own plays, but (also) acts in them.他不仅是自编剧本,还饰演其中的角色.

(2)若连接两个成分作主语,其谓语通常与靠近的主语保持一致.

例句 Not only the students but also their teacher is enjoying the film.

不仅学生们在欣赏这部影片,他们的老师也在欣赏这部影片.

(3)not only放在句首,后接句子时用倒装结构.

例句 Not only was the man fined, but also he was sent to prison.这个人不仅被罚款,而且还被送进监狱.
