表示否定、推测、情绪的句型

(1)I don't think/believe/suppose/expect+从句的否定前移

在think, believe, suppose, ,expect等动词后的宾语从句中,有时谓语尽管是否定意思,却不用否定形式,而将think等动词变为否定形式.

例句 I don't think the newly-directed film by Wang Jiawei is as interesting as people say, is it?我认为由王家卫执导的新电影不像人们说的那样有趣?是吗?

(2)...not enough (for sb.) to do sth.(对某人来说)做某事不够······

例句①She's not strong enough to climb up mountains.她不够强壮,不能爬山.

②Is the boy old enough to search information on the Internet alone?这个男孩年龄大到能独立上网查信息了吗?

(3) too...to...太······而不能

例句①The question is too difficult for us to answer.这个问题太难了,我们答不上来.

②The box is too heavy for me to carry.对我来说这个箱子太重了,我提不动它.

③He is too weak to walk any longer.他太虚弱了,不能再走了.

④He was too shy to speak in public.他太害羞,不敢在公共场合说话.

⑤My soup is too hot to drink.我的汤太烫,没法喝.

⑥I'm too tired to think of anything.我太累了,什么都想不起来了.

(4)can't help doing sth.禁不住做某事;情不自禁地做某事

例句 When Linda heard the good news, she couldn't help laughing.当琳达听到这个好消息的时候,她情不自禁地笑了.

(5)can't wait to do sth.迫不及待做某事

例句①I can't wait to know the result of the exam.我迫不及待地想知道考试结果.

②I can't wait to see her.我急于去看她.

(6)can't afford to do sth.负担不起做某事

例句 I want to get my car repaired because I can't afford (to buy) a new one.我想请人把车子修一下,因为我买不起新的.

(7)not...any more/longer/no more/longer······不再······

例句①She doesn't wear glasses any more.她不再戴眼镜了.

②Alice no longer wears jeans.爱丽丝再也不穿牛仔裤了.

(8)must/could/might/may/can't be...一定／可能／不可能······

例句①-Oh, it's raining hard.哦,正下大雨.

-Be careful! The road must be wet.小心,路肯定很湿.

②The woman who is talking with Mr. Brown can't be Miss Li. She has gone to England.正在和布朗先生交谈的那位女士不可能是李小姐.她已经去英国了.

③-Look at the young lady in red. Is it Mrs. King?看那位穿红衣服的年轻女士,她是金夫人吗?

-No. It can't be her. She is wearing a white dress today.不可能是她,她今天穿着白色的连衣裙.

④This book might be John's or Mary's. They came here a moment ago.这本书可能是约翰或玛丽的,他们刚才来过这里.

(9)must/may/could/might/can't be doing sth.一定／可能／不可能在做某事

例句①He must be sleeping. He cannot be reading.他现在肯定在睡觉.他不可能在看书.

②They can't be listening to the radio. They must be watching TV.他们不可能正在听收音机.他们肯定正在看电视.

(10)had better (not)do sth.最好(不要)做某事

例句

①It's rather hot in the room. You'd better not close the windows or the door.房间里相当热,你最好不要关窗户或门.

②You had better not drink wine because you have to drive back home.你最好不要喝酒,因为你需要开车回家.

(11)...be always doing sth.······总是做某事

该结构并不表示正在做某事,而是表达说话人的态度、情绪或评价.

例句①He was always asking his parents for money.他老是向父母要钱.

②I was always doing things alone.我做什么事都是一个人.

③Well done! You are always doing a good job!做得好！你总是能把工作做得很出色！
