    Comic strip & Welcome to the unit

    设计说明

    首先通过观看一组有关过去和现在的图片导入新课,学习Comic strip的有关内容,呈现一些有关现在完成时的句子,进而学习现在完成时的概念和结构。然后学习一些有关变化和交通工具的词汇,进入Welcome to the unit的学习,在此基础上谈论自己喜欢的出行方式并给出理由。

    教学目标

    通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    掌握词汇:past, present, just, used to do sth

    2.能力目标

    (1)了解北京不同时代的交通工具,谈论自己、家人和朋友过去和现在使用的不同交通工具;

    (2)初步认识现在完成时。

    3.情感目标

    培养学生热爱家乡的情感。

    1.重点:了解北京不同时代的交通工具,谈论自己、家人和朋友过去和现在使用的不同交通工具。

    2.难点:认识现在完成时。

    教学过程

    Step 1 Lead-in

    Show some pictures about changes to the village and people.  

            

    In the past, it was a poor village.    At present, it becomes a rich city.

    = It used to be a poor village. 

     

    They have changed a lot.

    Step 2 Presentation

    Teach the following new words and expressions using the pictures:

    past, present, used to, have changed

    Step 3 Listening

    T says: After the Spring Festival, many of us have become fatter.

    What about Hobo and Eddie?

    Have they changed too?

    Maybe they have. 

    Now Listen to the dialogue between Eddie and Hobo and answer the following questions.

    1. Where was Hobo’s food an hour ago?

    2. Why did Eddie eat Hobos food?

    3. Is Hobo happy?          

    4. What does Hobo think of Eddie?

    Answers: 1. It was in the bowl.

    2. Because he was very hungry.

    3. No, he isn’t.

    4. He thinks Eddie has changed.

    Step 4 Read

    1. Read aloud in pairs. Then choose some pairs to act out the dialogue.

    2. Fill in the blanks.

    Hobo’s food ________ in the _______ an hour ago. But it isn’t there now. Why? Eddie has just ________ it because he was ________. Hobo thinks Eddie has _________ a lot because he used to ________ food with him. Eddie also thinks Hobo is not so _______ to him.

    Answers: was, bowl, eaten, hungry, changed, share, kind

    Step 5 Explanation

    . Explain some important language points and do some exercises to consolidate them.

    1. A: Have you seen my food? 你看见我的食物了吗?

    B: Yes. Ive just eaten it. 是的。我刚把它吃了。

    现在完成时:

    (1)肯定句:主语+have/has +过去分词

    He has already eaten a bar of chocolate.

    他已经吃了一块儿巧克力。

    My hometown has changed a lot in the past twenty years.

    我的家乡在过去的二十年里发生了很多的变化。

    (2)否定句:主语+havent /hasnt+过去分词

    I haven’t written the letter yet. 我还没有写过信。

    She hasn’t ridden a horse before. 她以前没骑过马。

    (3)一般疑问句:Have/ Has +主语+过去分词?

    Yes,主语+have/has./ No,主语+havent/ hasnt.

    Have you ever read Coco? 你曾经看过《寻梦环游记》吗?  

    —No, I havent.不,我没看过。

    —Has he ridden a horse so far? 到目前为止他骑过马吗?

    Yes, he has.是的,他骑过。

    2. Ive just eaten it. 我刚把它吃了。

    just  adv. 意为“刚才”,常与完成时连用。

    They have just arrived. 他们刚刚到达。

    【注意】just now意为“刚才”,相当于“a moment ago”,通常与一般过去时连用。

    I went to the library just now. 我刚才去了图书馆。

    3. You used to be so kind to me. 你过去对我那么好。

    You used to share food with me! 你过去常与我分享食物!

    used to do sth意为“过去常常做某事”。

    表示过去经常做或一直做而现在不做,只用于过去时态。

    (1)肯定形式:主语+used to+动词原形

    He used to listen to pop musicbut now he likes rock music.

    他过去总听流行音乐,但现在喜欢摇滚乐了。

    She used to be a history teacher. 她过去是一名历史老师。

    (2)否定形式:

    主语+used not to+动词原形

    主语+didnt use to+动词原形

    The shop usedn’t to open on Sundays.

    =The shop didnt use to open on Sundays. 过去这家商店星期天不营业。

    (3)一般疑问句形式:

    Used +主语+ to +动词原形

    Did +主语+ use to +动词原形

    Keys: Used you to go to the museum?=Did you use to go to the museum?

    你之前经常去博物馆?

    There used to be曾经有;过去常常有

    There used to be a steel factory. 这里曾经有一家钢铁厂。

    be used to doing sth习惯于做某事

    My father is used to reading newspapers after dinner.

    我父亲习惯晚饭后读报。

    2. used to practise; usedn’t to practise; didnt use to practise; Used, to practise; Did, use to practise

    Step 6 Presentation

    1. Show some pictures about the different forms of transport in the past and present.

    In the past, people usually rode bikes when they went to a place nearby. =People used to ride bikes when they went to a place nearby.

    At present, shared bikes are becoming more and more popular in our daily life. It is easy for us to get around on shared bikes. We should park the shared bikes in a proper place.

    In the past, people usually took a green train to go to other cities. It took about 12 hours from Lianyungang to Beijing on a green train.

    At present, people usually take high-speed train to go to other cities. It takes about 6 hours from Lianyungang to Beijing by high-speed train.

    2. Play a guessing game.

    Give some sentences about describing the forms of transport and ask students to guess the name of vehicles.

    3. Finish Part A on Page7.

    Write the correct names under the pictures. Then check the answers with the students.

    Step 7 Part B

    1. Listen and answer.

    (1) How did Millie’s dad go to school when he was a student?

    (2) Why didn’t he take a bus?

    (3) How does Millie go to school?

    Answers: (1) He used to go to school by bike.

    (2) Because there were always too many people on the bus, and it took a long time to wait for the next one.

    (3) She goes to school by bus.

    2. Show the dialogue in Part B on the screen and ask students to read it.

    3. Fill in the blanks.
